That night Seohyun cried herself to sleep. The next morning, she stayed in her room well after noon time and she had no intention of getting out of bed. Finally someone came and knocked at her door.

Seohyun: "Go away jebal. I'm tired."

Mom: "Seohyun-ah, umma is coming in."

Seohyun: "Oh....umma. Did you. Need something?"

Mom: "Anee, I just wanted to talk to you."

Seohyun: "Oh...waeyo?"

Mom: "Aigoo Seohyun-ah. Umma is getting too old to deal with teenage drama. Aish you're making me sad. Tell me, wae are you sad?"

Seohyun: "Mwo? Aneeyo I'm not sad...I'm just tired."

Mom: "You haven't left your room for two days. And I would know if you were sick."

Seohyun: "Aish aneeyo it's nothing. I don't know what you're talking about jjin jjah."

Mom: "But I do. It's love isn't it? Honey, I know what heartbreak looks like because I've went through it too.....and I've been thinking. That boy, Yonghwa, made you really happy. Aigoo, as much as I should be worried, you can see him again. Just promise me you'll be happy arasso?"

Seohyun: "Neh gomawoyo umma. But it doesn't matter anymore. I may love Yong but he doesn't love me. He never did."

Mom: *laughs* "Oh Seohyun-ah don't be silly. He did and he still does."

Seohyun: "Aneeyo umma! He was off with Jessica unnie yesterday. Gwen channa though. He's a player. That's just how he is."

Mom: "Arasso whatever you say honey."

She got up and started walking towards the door.

Mom: "Oh Seohyun before I leave, I think you should know something."

Seohyun: "Neh mwo is it?"

Mom: "Yonghwa stopped by yesterday and left a gift for you."

Seohyun: "Mwo?!"

Mom: "Neh. Here take it."

Her mother dropped a small package in Seohyun's hands and left the room.
