Happy, For Once

A/N- Just to let you know Skylar and Piper are in 10th grade.

I was greeted at school by Dasher and his gang. "Morning slut. How was last night's porn episode? Did you enjoy it? Glad to hear it slut!" He grabbed my shirt and pulled me into an empty classroom. He locked the door. "You're a slut. And I hate sluts." Then he punched me in the chest. It hurt. Bad. I gasped and fell to the floor. "I hope you learned your lesson," Dasher said to me as he left. I managed to stand and limped out of the classroom and to my locker. 

I made it through the day. I couldn't have done it without Piper, to be honest. She was there for me whenever I needed her. I just wished I could pay her back in some way. 

Piper was a beautiful girl. She had short, wavy auburn colored hair. She never wore makeup, but had the prettiest face. She was also a great person on the inside. Super smart, kind, and funny. The majority of the boys in our grade had asked her out at some point of time. She turned them all down though. 

I have long, curly brown hair. I wake up very early every morning just so I can straighten it. I have large glasses, and let's just say I don't have the best face. I also have braces. Not one boy has ever asked me out. I'm kind of smart, not really funny, but I do think I'm really nice. Piper deserved someone better than me.

Piper and I were hanging out at my place this afternoon. We were done with our homework, but Piper didn't want to leave yet. We turned on Twenty One Pilots music, since we are both huge fans.

We sang and danced to every song that came in for another hour or so. But then Piper had to go home. We hugged, and she left.

I showered, and then plopped down on my bed. I grabbed my phone and earbuds, then, of course, listened to some Twenty One Pilots. I was feeling actually happy for once. And for once, I went to sleep without crying.
