It was an ordinary Friday morning.
I was up early, just about to go to the living room, until I heard mom and dad discussing something.
So I stopped to listen."Do you think she's ready?" mother was saying.
Dad itched his head, "She's thirteen years old! I think she's ready."
What were they talking about? Is there something they're not telling me?"Mom, is everything alright?" I ask out of curiosity.
"Everything's fine, sweetie," mom assured me.
I walked to the kitchen to get a drink of water.
When I came back, mom sat on the couch looking nervous.
"Mom, are you sure everything's okay?"
Mom looked up at me, "Yes, Savannah. You and Luis better get to school, you wouldn't want to be late."
I kissed mom and dad on the cheek, "Bye mom, bye dad."
"Goodbye, sweetie," father replies. "Goodbye," mother says, pushing me out the door.
"Love you-" I say, but the door is already shut. After school, my best friend, Michelle, walked home with me.
"Do you know anything about my parents? Anything they'd be keeping from me?" I asked.
"Sorry, but I don't know anything about your parents," Michelle replied.
We arrived at my house, "Oh, okay."
"See ya later!" Michelle walked away.
She acted suspicious, but I believed her.Could she be guilty of knowing?
No, no, this is Michelle I'm talking about, I'm sure she'd be honest with me.
