"Miss are you alright? You are all soaked" a man holding his umbrella asked me as I stood on the street.

"Are you alright?" the man asked again when I didn't answer.

I looked at him and nodded my head slowly. He wore a gray coat and a dark red scarf hanging from both sides of his shoulder. He looks clean and cut.

"Are you sure?" the man asked as he walked next to me holding the umbrella up high so the rain doesn't fall on me.

He looks like a chivalrous knight holding the umbrella like that. It made me want to smile at his action. I guess life isn't always what you thought it to be.

I stopped and turned towards the man and smiled at him, "Thank you very much for your concern. But I'm alright" I told him.

He noticed the traces of tears on my face. "Umm...I'm sorry to intrude but do you need me to call a cab for you?" he asked.

"It's alright. My car is parked just up ahead"

The man nodded then took a hold of my hand and handed me his umbrella. "Take the umbrella. It'll help fend off the rain from falling on you" the man called after me as he ran off trying to not get wet.

"Where should I return this!" I shouted after him. But I guess he didn't hear me. He just turned back and waved at me.

Tears started to fall from my eyes again. How can everything remind me of him? I gripped on the umbrella tightly and walked towards my car.

Great! I've got all the ingredients. I smiled and walked out of the grocery store. I tripped and stumbled my jars of strawberry preservatives bounces out. The moment seems to suspend in a second. Oh my gosh! Please don't break! I closed my eyes and hoped. They landed in a clunk, I peeked my eyes open. No spillings! Yes! I quickly bent down and picked them up.

"Here you forgot this" he raises a rose towards me as I got up from picking my jars. My heart started to beat rapidly. My breathing became shorten. I couldn't think straight.

"You might...think that I'm weird. But I've been watching you and I want you to know that you are beautiful" he held onto the red rose in his hand, waiting for me to accept it.

Oh my gosh! What should I do? What is going on!? My heart begins to beat fast.

"I...I...I've also been watching you!" I told him and blushed all the way from my cheeks to my toes. Oh no! What did I just said? I didn't even think before I say it. That sounded really creepy!

I accepted the rose from him and he smiles widely at me. "And here, you forgot this one" he said and handed me the jar as well.

That was exactly 5 years and 11 months ago. It felt like fate was weaving to bring us together. That was how I felt when I met him that day. It was awkward at the beginning because I didn't even know what his name was.

But now that I thought about it, the situation seems really silly, I smiled as I thought about it. However ...I...I...won't be able to see him again, realization dawned on me. Tears dropped from my eyes again.

I quickly wiped it off because I can't even see the road. Concentrate Alice! I said to myself. You can't put yourself in danger while driving!

Hahahaha funny how I can still be so positive. Funny that I didn't even want to die....but felt like I'm dying inside. Another knot started to form in my throat. I tried to swallow it back down, but the feeling was too overwhelming.

Alice! Alice! Get yourself together! I shouted at me.

For another time in my life, driving was a struggle. But somehow I got myself back to my apartment safe and intact.
