Colson

After everything Leah and I had been through we finally made it to the one year mark. Its crazy I never saw myself being with a girl for this long without losing feelings. I guess its because she wasn't a girl, she was a woman. She was the woman that I had decided to spend the rest of my life with. About a month ago me and the boys picked out an engagement ring and everything. I even told Casie about it. She couldn't wait. She was so happy for us and so was I. 

Since today was our one year anniversary and the night I would propose I wanted to make sure everything was perfect. I sent her and Ashleigh out on a spa day while me and the guys got everything ready. I decided to take her to the pier since it was her favorite place to go. It was like her getaway spot. If I ever needed to find her I knew she would be there.

After we set everything up I called Ash to see if they were headed home yet. After she confirmed they'd be there in 30 mins me and the guys raced back home to act like nothing was going on. I got dressed and waited for Leah to arrive. I heard her walk in and went into the hall to greet her.

"Hey bae! You look nice."

"Thanks! Now get dressed we're going out to celebrate our one year. Don't tell me you forgot?" I replied.

"Of course not. I got a new dress last week just for the occasion." She smiled

After she was dressed I watched her as she was putting on her make up. She was beautiful without it but she always insisted on putting it on. 

"What?"

"Hmm?"

"Your just staring at me."

"I'm just admiring your beauty."

"Well I'm already. Are you ready to go?"

"Yep, lets go."

We walked out into the living room and everyone was gone. They had already left to meet us at the pier. I locked up and then walked Leah to the car and opened her door.

"So where are we going?"

"Its a surprise."

"Come on tell me!" She said giving me that baby pouting face.

"Dang! You twisted my arm. We're headed to the pier."

"Awesome! I love the pier."

About 15 mins later we arrived and I helped her out of the car. We walked down to the pier where we had set up a table. The pier had candles that lite the way and rose petals on the walk way.

"Have a seat my queen." I said pulling out her chair.

After we were seated a waiter brought out or food and wine. 

"Wow! Colson I can't believe you did all this for me."

"Why not? You deserve it. Your the best thing that's ever happened to me."

45 mins later we were half way through dessert when my phone rang. I answered.

"Is everything good? Yeah ok, ok, yeah, thanks." I said hanging it up.

"Is everything ok Colson?"

"Yep. Hey would you look at that?" I said pointing to the sky. She looked confused as the fireworks went off and the sky lite up with the message: Leah will you marry me!

She slowly turned around and all of our friends and family walked up to the pier. She had her hand over her mouth as if she was shocked. I got down on one knee and I took that as a sign to ask her again.

"Leah, your one of the best things that's ever happened to me. You are an amazing woman. I've prayed to God and asked him to bring me a woman like you and for a long time I thought that somewhere along the way I had missed my blessing until you came into my life. I love you Leah Ann Russell. Will you marry me?"

She looked at me and tears were running down her face. Everyone looked on and waiting with anticipation for her answer.

"Yes, yes Colson! Yes, I will marry you!"

"Yes!"everyone cheered as we kissed.

"Aww don't cry baby. We're getting married!"

Leah

Everyone came closer and hugged us and took pictures. Casie ran to me and gave me a big hug.

"I'm so happy you and daddy are getting married. I love you Leah."

"Aww baby I love you too."

I couldn't believe this. Colson and I are getting married! This is the happiest day of my life. I never thought this would happen to me. Everything felt so right. This was the man I was really ment to marry. 

"So baby. Do you have a date in mind?"

"May."

"May 15?"

"That sounds great."

"May 15 it is!" I said
