Chapter seven

Abby heard what I said in the door way and she looked shocked. I got up and ran down the hallway to find somebody I wasn't supposed to talk to. I could hear my name being called by abby repeatedly. I couldn't see so well with tears running down my face. I finally made it to my destination and looked up to see the sign on the door. It read CADC. I hesitantly knocked on the door. Come in I heard Cathy said. I slowly opened the door and walked in. As soon as I saw Cathy the tears started. Aww Maddie the crybaby Cathy said. I turned around and started walking towards the door. What are you doing here anyways Maddie Cathy said. I stopped in my tracks. I turned around and walked towards her. Maddie what are you doing i heard Gino say.i looked to my right and ran towards him. So that's why you are here cuz of Gino Cathy said.i ignored her and wrapped my arms around Gino and hugged him.i felt him wrap his arms around me.i cried into his shoulder.he whispered something in my ear but I didn't understand cuz I was to busy crying.we started walking into the changing room.he set me on the bench and started talking.can you tell me what's wrong he said as he put his arm around me and squeezing me.i shook my head no and put my head in my hands. One second Maddie Gino said as he got up. Wait I said. He turned around . If abby comes tell her I don't know where she is I said as I choked on my words.he nodded his head gave me a kiss on my forehead. He went out of the curtain and I heard him talking to someone.he came in seconds later with a box of tissues.he sat down next to me and gave me the box.i put my head on his shoulder and shut my eyes. Maddie he said as I opened my eyes.can you tell me what happened please.i sighed. Well I was in the dressing room and holly wanted to talk to me cuz I have been acting different lately. And I walked out of the dressing room with her and she was saying whats wrong and I said I was sick of Dan- da- dance and ab- abby heard . He put his arm around me and pulled me into a hug. Gino was always flirting with me but I can't date yet but he try's to convince me to date him though. Gino I have to go. Stay. I can't we have awards. Just come with us. I sucked up my tears.i feel like I'm useless dance was my only escape but I don't want to dance so I feel like I need to disappear I said as another round of tears streamed down my face.Gino didn't talk back he just rubbed his hand up and down my arm. I took another tissue from the box and wiped some of my tears away. Maddie why don't you want to dance anymore Gino asked me. I feel like I must win of else I'm going to be thrown in a dungeon or something and also the moms hate when I win and get all the attention. So I feel like I just want to get away. But dance was your life all of your memories were at dance Gino said as pulled me so I could lean on him. I know but I just don't want to get away i need to get away. He put his head on my hair bun. Ba- Maddie you have a special talent that not a lot of people have. Gino you don't understand I must get away from the dance world it's taking over my whole life I mean I have more dance clothes than street clothes I have more dance shoes than street shoes I mean its every single thing is just dance dance dance I said I just need to go and disappear I said the last part slowly. Gino sighed i understand you don't want to disappear you just need to take a break from dance. Gino I do want to disappear I can't take all the pressure I'm only 12. I felt confident telling Gino what was going through my mind cuz we are awesome friends and had been without abby and Cathy knowing.why did you stay there all those years. I stayed cuz brooke was my role model and I never wanted to let abby down but I changed abby just probably gave me the attention so she could make the moms angry. Baby do y- he sighed Maddie do you have your phone. No. Do you know Brooke's number. I nodded my head. He took his iPhone out of his candy apple sweater and he dialed her number.

Brooke hung up and I sat here with Maddie. I heard the door burst open. The curtain opened and I see a surprised brooke
