Chapter 6 So Close Yet So Far

They've dared to do something to my brother. My vision tints red with rage and warnings run across my retinal display. How dare they, the messages on my display are getting more urgent by the second. If they had voices they'd be screaming at me to calm down. My telekinesis starts to react to my anger tearing through the wall revelling two dozen scientists. Half run for the door the other half dive underneath their seats. The deranged scientist, with the shock of blond hair, yells in triumph. Then suddenly he realises the danger he is in and dives for the door but he is too late. Flying debris hits him, knocking him to the ground.

The wall in front of me slides away revealing Twenty two armed guards, the commander orders them to open fire. I manage to stop most of the bullets before one impales Raven in the stomach, bringing him back and flooding him with pain. I can feel him at the edge of my senses but my powers are out of control and I am caught in a vortex of anger and debris.

An eternity later, when all of my enemies are taken care of and my anger has dulled, I run over to Raven. He smiles at me in his gorgeous way and lifts his hand and fiddles with my long dark brown hair with effort, twisting it around his finger. "Leave me here, go find a place for yourself in the world." He says painfully.

"I will and you're coming with me!" I say as I gently stroke his Jet black hair.

"No I'm not." His piercing grey eyes drift out of focus and he takes his last breath...
