I wake to a nagging presence at the edge of my mind. I am in a room that appears to be a lab. Strapped to a bench in the middle, there is Raven with wires and tubes coming out of him at odd angels. Along one of the walls there seems be a hundred computers and a white door to the right. I seem to be pinned to a wall. It's quite an odd sensation. "I see you have awoken." The voice is coming from a young man in a with a lab coat.

He has a shock of blond hair and the blackest eyes. He pulls on a pair of white plastic gloves and presses a button on a small machine next to my brother.

Ravens eyes fly open. He cranes his head as far as he can left and right to try and look around. The deranged scientist picks up a scalpel and puts it to Ravens bear chest. "Don't!" I franticly scream. "It'll kill him!"

The scientist smiles ever so slightly as looks me in the eye. "Are you so sure about that?" He says mockingly. "Yes, it would kill anyone, anyone but you and maybe your brother here."

That's it I've had enough, I focus my attention on the scalpel he holds in his hand. It jerks free from his grip and positions it' self in front of his face. Smiling he presses a button on the same machine and a bright burning pain rushes through my skull, It feels like my head is being crushed between two walls that are getting closer and closer to each other every second. Both Raven and I scream.

I don't know if we're both getting the same pain, or if I'm getting a simpler version and Raven is getting the full tilt but the pain sears blindingly through my brain. I don't hear the clang as the scalpel falls to the ground.

The scientist starts to lower a dial on the control panel and the pain suddenly eases up. "That should have disabled your gift for the time being" he says almost joyfully.

"WHO ARE YOU AND WHY DO YOU CARE SO MUCH ABOUT MY BROTHER AND I" I scream at the top of my lungs. "Ah there's that anger, that rage that takes over and gives you power." He cried happily "oh little one it's not your brother I care for its you!"

"What, why?" I reply

"Any way enough of that." he says as he walks over to the computers and starts to type.

While he does that I nudge Raven's mind hoping he is not comatose from the pain. Even though our abilities have been disabled, we should still be able to talk but all that's in his mind is rambles of pain. So he did get the worst of it, my fears are confirmed. Hmm, I need to come up with a plan.

The scientist comes up to Raven and connects a bottle of a clear liquid to one of the tubes inserted into Raven, then he calls for some of the guards. The last thing I see is the guards wheeling Raven away.
