Coming Home.

It's been 11 months since I left home. 11 months since I've seen my siblings for more than just a glance in the middle of a war. 11 months 3 days and 6 hours that I've been alone. But it hasn't been all bad. I made some new friends, started a new school and reinvented myself. Granted my friends are mundanes, but it's better than nothing. My life was going pretty well and then I got a call from Alec.
----------------------------------------------

I was hanging out in my room reading and listening to music when my phone rang. I answered it absent mindedly still in-grossed in my book.

"Hello?"
"Sarah" I heard a voice whisper. I took a breath in shock. It was a voice I would know anywhere, my big brother Alec.

"What's wrong? You haven't called me in ages." I couldn't keep the hurt out of my voice as I said those words, no matter how true they were I knew that I wouldn't take them back even if I could but I still felt bad when he paused in shock. I could almost see him wince as guilt coursed through my veins but I wouldn't giving in. Not this time.

"I'm so sorry Sarah. But that's not why I called. There's a new girl coming to the Institute from Australia and I wanted you to know incase you wanted to come back?" I couldn't help but hear the pleading in his in his voice. But I still wasn't sure how I felt about going home.

"I don't know..."

"Please Sarah. I've missed you, Izzy misses you, hell even JACE misses you. Please Sarah. Please come home."

"No Alec."

"Come on Sarah. Please?"

"Alec..."

He dropped his voice to a whisper. "Please?"

I bit my lip while thinking. I still wasn't sure. But he had put an image in my head. My sister Isabelle almost in tears as I walked out. Max fighting to get me to stay. Alec's cold face that I knew meant he was holding back his emotions. And Jace holding himself back from running to me. Seeing his muscles tightening to closer I got to the elevator.
I sighed and new my answer.

"Okay. I'm coming home."
----------------------------------------------
I looked up at the place I had once called home wondering when I should go in. Just then, Isabelle solved my problem for me by running out the door and the second I saw her, all of my anger melted away so that when she tackled me in a hug I hugged back without a second thought.

"Sarah..." my big sister whispered. And that's when I noticed the wetness on my shoulder. My big sister was crying Izzy never cried. Not when dad left us. Not when Max died. Never. I hugged her tighter not wanting to let go.

"Come on Sarah. Let's go see our family." We walked inside just as a girl came down the stairs.

"Erin, this is Sarah." Izzy said. I looked up at the girl and saw how she had gold eyes and bright blond hair. (Pic below)

she was really pretty but that's not the point. I zoned out a little until the next thing I knew, I was in the kitchen and Jace was coming in going off about something.

"She's your sister idiot." I found myself saying. Jace looked at me like I had grown an extra head.
----------------------------------------------

I knew in that moment that I was about to have many adventures. And I couldn't wait.
