Far off in a distant land, many years away from here, there is another place where people live. One of these people go by the name of Inuyasha. Inuyasha was fighting a demon one day and he stopped when he smelt the blood of the woman he once loved. All of a sudden he ran off to try and find her. As soon as he found her, she was badly injured. He went to a nearby forest that was safer. A moment later as Inuyasha set Kikyo down against a tree, Kagome had stumbled upon them and then hid behind the nearest tree listening closely. Slightly peeking around from behind the tree, Kagome saw Kikyo kiss Inuyasha. After waiting for Kikyo to leave, Kagome fell to her knees and cried. Wiping the tears away, she stepped around the corner of the tree to greet inuyasha. "K....Kagome?", Yes it''s me. Am I not good enough for you? She wondered to herself, "I thought you loved me!", she shouted tears forming in her eyes then starts to run away. He decides that it's best to go after her afraid to make things worse. "Kagome, I'm really sorry about that.", he sighed with an apologetic look on his face.
*Flashback*
Inuyasha jumps from building to building in search of the temple. He had finally found the Sacred jewel of four souls and wished for it to be his so that he could become a full demon once and for all. As soon as he grabbed the jewel he was surrounded by the villagers. Laughing his demonic laugh he said "Just try and catch me, you usless humans." He took off running to get away when he suddenly heard his name. When he turned he saw an arrow coming his way and ended up pinned to the sacred tree.as the woman he onced loved was burned along with the shikon jewel and buried.
*End flashback*
As Inuyasha lays back in a tree he wonders how this human girl is not afraid of him, so he decides to voice his thoughts aloud. "Hey kagome?" Yes Inuyasha? *she turns to look at him* "How come your not afraid of me?" "What do you mean Inuyasha?" *her curiousity getting the best of her* "You should be running from me, instead your sitting here talking to me and traveling with me. Usually everyone that i meet ends up running from me because I'm a demon." Inuyasha, how could I ever be afraid of you? Your gentle and sweet, your a little moody, but thats just your personality from where you always travelled alone." Kagome, please just listen to me. I'm dangerous, I don't want you getting hurt again. Do you remember what happened when my brother decided to pay me a visit and he hurt you with his poison claws? Between my demon self and my brother you would get hurt again and I don't want you to get hurt again." I knew this would be dangerous when I agreed to do this but I wanted to help you find and complete the jewel and lets face it, I can take care of myself." *She blushes when she realizes how close they are all of a sudden* "Kagome, you look tired." I am tired. I've had a long day and no sleep." Inuyasha stopped walking and crouches down next to a confused looking Kagome. "Climb on my back Kagome, I'll carry you. You need your rest so sleep tight." Those were the last words that Kagome heard as the wind blew gently against her face as she fell into a peaceful sleep.
