She had something very important to tell Hiccup.
"Merida I am here, I need to tell you something" Hiccup called from behind her.
"Me too Hic, me too" Merida said approaching him.
"Shhh be quite, I think my father followed me" Hiccup whispered
"Listen Hiccup, my father is planning to attack your father's base. Please stay away from there. Please for me" she said grasping his hand and squeezing it tightly.
"Merida, thank you for telling me. I can warn my friends and my father to desert that area" he said squeezing back.
"No you can't tell them. My father already has started doubting me. If the base will be deserted he would find about us and even kill you. No you just stay away" she said losing her grip on his hand.
"Mer, try to understand I can never forgive myself if something happens to my father and friends" he pleaded
"Hic but-" Merida was cut off by the sound of gunshots.
"Hiccup get away, this girl gonna die" Stoick shouted coming out of the bushes.
"Dad stop this!!" He shouted trying to protect her.
They both ducked behind the tree and the bullets pierced the tree with holes. Their initial's were hit by the bullets.
"Run!! Run!!" Hiccup shouted to her pushing her to the other side of the forest.
"But" she paused.
"Just ru-aaagh!!" he groaned in pain as a bullet hit his left leg.
"Stop the firing!!" His father shouted.
Merida paused in midway seeing Hiccup fall to the ground. "Just go!!" He shouted before losing causation
Merida kept running not looking back. She couldn't bear to see a hurt Hiccup. The branches scratched her arms but she kept running. Leaving the past behind. (Now watch the whole vidoe)
7 years later
Merida was walking down the busy streets of New York. 7 years ago her father had sent her here after finding out what happened.
She was now a detective working for the police but right now she wasn't going to catch any criminal or going for investigation.
She was going to go pick her friend's wedding dress. Elsa's wedding was in a week and the three cousins were already drowned in last minute preparations that she decided to pitch in and help them.
She was happy for Elsa. She got her prince charming. She hoped no girl has to face what she faced. Hiccup's painful cry, was still fresh in her mind.
She now didn't desire for such things. She entered the wedding shop and showed her recipient to the woman who came to her service.
The woman handed her wedding dress in a big box and placed a white rose on top of it.
"For luck" the woman explained and Merida nodded. Her luck had gone 7 years ago.
"And here's another one for you too, you look like you need it" the woman said tucking it in Merida's coat pocket. Merida gave her a thankful smile and left the stop carrying the big box as best as she could.
