The kingdom of Arendelle. A place with cold summers and freezing winters. Arendelle had been in a constant state of war after the death of their king. The neighboring countries attacked it many times stealing their food supplies, precious stones and metals, their animals and small children were also target of theft by the neighboring countries. To make matters worse a cold spell hit Arendelle causing half of the population to die and most of the crops to wither. Many peasants left Arendelle and it was onthe verge of bankrupt. The Queen of Arendelle had no other choice but to agree her daughter's marriage to the heir of Berk's throne to provide stability back in her kingdom.
But her daughter Elsa had other plans.
" isn't the sunset the most beautiful thing Jack?" Elsa said leaning against the balcony admiring the sunset.
"Your more beautiful" Jack whispered.
"What did you say?" Elsa asked turning towards and staring into his azul blue eyes.
"Nothing" he stuttered turning red.
"I was thinking that maybe we should pay Merida a visit before your Prince charming arrives" Jack suggested and Elsa squealed.
"That's a great idea but will mother let me?" Elsa asked worried.
"I already asked permission and she said yes" Jack winked his eye and jumped into his open arms.
"Your the best Jack, I really gonna miss you" she whispered her head on his shoulder blade.
"Just remember, your knight will die for you" he whispered back and she hugged him tighter.
Both had unspoken love between them. Jack was not only Elsa's personal body guard but also her knight in shiny armour and her bestfriend. She was not ready to lose him for any prince but she had to, for the sake of her country.
The next morning
"Merida!!" Elsa exclaimed jumping into her friends open arms.
"Elsa its so good to see you" Merida said hugging her friend tightly.
"Ok can you both take off your hoods, its getting hard for me to tell who's who?"Jack chuckled and the two friends laughed.
It was true. Except for their hair colour and texture, Merida and Elsa looked so alike that hardly anyone could tell the difference.
"So what's brings you to me, another wood craving I presume" Merida said putting her hands on her hips.
"No, I just came to say goodbye" Elsa said her smile turning into a frown.
"Goodbye but why" Merida asked in a worried expression and turned towards Jack who sighed and explained everything.
"Well that idoit better bring you to visits or I will track him down in Berk and kill him" Merida threatened clashing her fist with her palm angrily.
The three friends roamed around the village talking , having fun.
Elsa smiled at her two friends who were busy arguing which breed of horse was the fastest until something caught her eye.
It was necklace with blue stone pendant which was the exact shade of Merida's eyes.
"This will be the perfect goodbye gift" she thought walking towards the shop while her friends walked ahead of her not noticing her absence.
What she didn't was that someone was lurking inthe shadows waiting for an opportunity to strike on the Princess and they took it.
Elsa walked inthe deserted alley towards the shop suddenly she heard someone shout " your highness" she turned around to see one of her mother's faithful advisors Pitch Black standing infront of her.
