"Ok so where to next?" Asked jack as we sat around the table eating a some what breakfast. Granola bars and juice boxes....
"We're going to find max" I said quietly. That almost made them drop their food.
"WHAT!? Noo no no no! We are not going to chase your boyfriend! We need to find somewhere safe to stay" said mark who was obviously frustrated.
"First of all he's not my boyfriend and second of all we can go stay with him" I said finishing my "breakfast". It was obvious they were both very confused.
"Stay with him?!" Asked Jack.
"He's staying with his dad now. I'm sure they'll let us stay a while. At least until we get our shit together" I said. That made Mark laugh.
"How are we going to find him?" Asked Jack who was serious.
"He couldn't have been far from the hotel we were at before. I'm sure we'll find him." I said almost too confident.
"OK let's go" said Mark as he grabbed our bags.
"Ummmmm no! We don't have enough food to get us there and we don't know exactly where he lives! We're going to get cought" said Jack.
"Ok then let's go get food!" I said almost yelling. It was frustrating.
"We can't just walk into a grocery store! Me and Mark are wanted criminals!" Said Jack who was obviously more frustrated than I was.
"Fine! Then I'll go do it!!!" I yelled as I started climbing down the ladder.
"KEIRA WAIT!" Yelled Mark who was chasing behind me. I didn't listen. They both didn't understand that I needed to be with Max right now. They didn't understand that he could help us.

I ran the the closest convenience store. The woman who worked there obviously had zero interest in her job. She had a cigarette in her mouth even though the sign on the door said no smoking. She had short, blond hair that looked like it hadn't been washed in weeks. Her tattoos on her arms and back didn't help her image.
I looked around the small empty store for something I would eat. I had my "emergency money" in my pocket... $10.... Wow great! I got two more packs of granola bars and a lot of water!
"That will be $39" said the lady at the desk
"But the granola bars are $1.50 each box and the water should only be $5" I said confused
"Oh well fuck you then. $8.50 then!" She screamed.
I was scared so I gave her the money, thankfully got my change and left.

When I got back Jack and Mark were still inside talking. I hid behind the wall and listened in on their conversation.
"She'll be fine, Jack! Calm down!" Mark screamed.
"She's too obsessed with her boyfriend to care about us!" Jack screamed back.
"Did you forget that we are the adults? We are supposed to be caring for her jack!"
There was silence.
I knocked on the door and came in. Mark was on one side of the room staring out the window and Jack was sitting on the bed. He was crying.
"I bought some stuff...." I said trying to get their attention. None of them seemed to care.
"We don't have to go with Max...." I said, depressed. I wanted to check up on him. I wanted to hug him but he's probably moved on to someone else. Someone better.... Not a criminal.
"I say we go find Max...." Said Mark.
"We won't find him...." Replied Jack, in a depressed tone.
"Do you have any other, better ideas?" Said Mark.
"We could stay here...."
"Keira?" Mark asked, looking straight at me.
What should I do? Who do I choose?
