What Now?

"So I heard you and Max..." Mark was trying to make small talk but I cut him off.
"Shut up! Nothing happened..." I said lying.
"Oh sure! I know you guys kissed!" Replied Jack who was searching in his backpack for a granola bar.
"shut up" I told them.
"Where is he anyway?" Asked Mark who was surprisingly still holding my hand.
"I told the police that he was left in the building so I'm pretty sure they got him"
"Would you guys help me here" asked Jack who was trying to fix the ladder to an abandoned apartment building.
"Ya sure...." Me and mark said at the same time.
"JINX!" I yelled.
"Ugh whatever just help fix the ladder......" Said Mark even though I could see he was laughing.
Once we got the ladder high enough, they sent me up first to climb it so they could hold the ladder. Next was Jack and then Mark. When we were all up, we found one place that looked like it hadn't been touched in years.
"Ok there's two bed rooms so I'll sleep on the sofa" said Jack.
"Ummmmm no you can sleep in the room I'll be sleeping on the floor in Keiras room" said Mark as he took my bag into "our" room.
"Um ok?" Said Jack as he quickly left to his room.
When we got into our room Mark wanted to talk.
"Why do you like Max?" He asked
"What do you mean?" I asked confused. His question was too broad.
"I mean why do you like him? Because his eyes? His smile? His laugh? I just wanna know." He replied
"Hes nice. He understands everything. Its like he knows what I'm going through and he's truthful. He's not afraid to tell me the truth about him. I love his eyes and his accent. I don't know he's just perfect to me." I said blushing.
"He sounds nice. I wanna meet him" said Mark. Mark seemed jealous. Then it clicked. His girlfriend broke up with him when mark told her the secret about him hacking government things. She didn't like that so she broke up with him.
"Trust me! You will find someone who is funny, cute, adorable and that loves you some day. People are like jewels. The best ones are the hardest to find" I said, trying to cheer him up.
"Thanks Keira... Good night" he said as he took off the light.
"Night"
