Chapter 1

Inwe: This is Nessa's and my first Wattpad fanfiction!

Nessa: Ruby?! Can you be the disclaimer?!

Ruby: Neither Nessa nor Inwe own the Hobbit. However Nessa owns me and Inwe owns Tia. And by the way, mum, dad, I am totally not off on an adventure with Bilbo and Gandalf and thirteen dwarves and an elf! No of course not. I am in Bree with Our Cousins, but don't ask them or visit me or anything. This is just a fanfiction! Not real. Hehe.

Nessa: okay...

Inwe: Now onto the story!

Nessa: Hey! I wanted to say that!

Inwe: Too late.

Ruby's pov

"Hey! Mr. Bilbo! Where are you off to?" A hobbit asked as Bilbo ran by.

"Can't stop, I'm already late!" Bilbo cried running with a huge backpack.

"Late for what?" The hobbit asked.

"I'm going on an adventure!" Bilbo yelled.

Adventure?! Did he just say adventure?!

My name is Ruby Sandybacks from Frogmorton, and I've been longing for an adventure for as long as I can remember. Which is a long time, because I have a very good memory. I am 22 years old and a horrible liar. For those of you humans out there, I'm a tween. I hope I can lie my way out of this one. If you haven't guessed already, I'm planning to sneak out and join in on the adventure.

I ran after Bilbo, then remembered something. I left my note I had incase something like this happened in the mail for home. Yes I've been prepared for this kind of situation. Don't judge.

It said:

Dear mom and dad,

I am visiting the cousins in Bree. Not going on an adventure or anything. Why would you think I was going on an adventure?! I mean...who goes on adventures?! Not me! So don't go looking for me. See you... soon (I hope).

Love, your totally unsuspicious daughter, Ruby.

I grabbed my adventuring pack and ran quietly after bilbo.
