CONSISTORY GIRL

Chapter 1

                   It never ends, does it? Never. Whenever we think we've solved the mystery once and for all, something always comes back to bite us. That's what I'm thinking when Lily bolts up from the hospital bed after Jase dies.
"Jase!," Lily gasps,"He's the murderer!"
Me, Skylar, Matthew and Rose gasp. We just found out that Jase and Lily killed Natalie, and now Lily is telling another story. My girlfriend, Britt, got kidnapped by Chuck, the person who took the blame for Natalie's murder. Skylar used to be my girlfriend so now I have to choose. Skylar or Britt?
"What?," I ask.
Lily takes a deep breath,"Jase forced me to date him! He forced me to help him kill Natalie! He got jealous because she was getting so close to you! I tried to get away from him, but he said he would kill me and everyone I love! Don't you get it?! He's a psycho! And I'm glad he's dead! I never loved him!"
Lily bursts into tears.
Me, Skylar, Matthew and Rose leave the room.
"Kevin," Rose whispers,"What was she talking about?"
"Jase is.....," I falter,".....WAS a psycho."
"But he was your best friend," Matthew says.
"Not after I know what he did," I state.

That night, me and Skylar sleep in my room. Skylar rolls over and turns to me on the bed.
"Are you awake, Partner?," she whispers.
"Yeah," I whisper back.
"I wanted to tell you that if you want it be with Britt.... It's fine."
"Skylar, I didn't say that!"
"All that matters is that I love you, Partner! And I want to be with you!"
"I want to be with you too........."
Skylar kisses me just like that. But I push her away.
"Skylar," I say,"I'm still not ready to choose..."
Skylar gets up and leaves without saying a word, which scares me.
I just can't choose.

2 weeks later at the hospital, Lily is released. Me, her, Skylar, Matthew and Rose all gather in my room to talk.
"We're glad you're okay, Lily!," Skylar says.
"I'm glad YOU'RE alive!," Lily says to Skylar.
They laugh.
"Guys," I say,"I have a plan."
"What is it?," Matthew asks.
"We go back on our journey to find Britt," I say.
"Wow," Rose says, sarcastically,"What a great plan!"
"We can do this," I say.
And the next day, we set out on our adventure.
