Chapter 13

   *Lucas's pov* 3 hours later
Y/N's phone kept ringing so I finally decided to pick it up. It was Ashanti.
"Y/N! Y/N!." Ashanti yelled through the receiver.
"Girl if you don't chill out." I said laughing.
"I got Jas up here in the hospital, I put them down for their nap and I went to go check on Jas and she was breathing but she was unconscious." She said panicking.
"We on our way." I said waking up Y/N.
"Babe, Jas is in the hospital." I said as she was half awake.
"Jas? In the hospital! What happened!" She jumped up grabbed her bag off the nightstand as she started crying.
"Ashanti gone explain more when we get there calm down." I said as I rushed downstairs.
       In the car
Y/N was hysterical.
"I knew something was wrong with her, I knew it and I didn't do anything about it." She said as she cried harder.
"It's okay baby, she's going to be fine." I said as I sped up.
We ended up hitting the 5 o'clock traffic.
"Oh my gosh!" She said as she began to cry more.
I was trying to stay strong for her but all that crying she was doing was gone make me cry.
"We're going to get there baby I promise, just relax." I said as I tried to figure out a way around all this traffic. I decided to cut my emergency blinkers on and drive along the margins.
        At the hospital
We rushed in.
"I don't know what happened! I laid her down for a few minutes and I went to check on her she was breathing but wouldn't respond." Ashanti said crying. "Im sorry y/n."
"Where is Jacob?" I asked.
"Dillyn has him." Ashanti said.
"Where's Jas?" Y/N asked.
"NICU." Ashanti said.
    My pov
We went up the NICU unit. I saw her laying in a crib hooked to all these machines.  I played with her little curls.
"My baby girl." I said as tears filled my eyes. She looked like she was sleeping. A nurse walked in.
"Can I hold her?" I asked her.
"You sure can." She said.
I lightly picked her up and sat down in the chair. Lucas grabbed her little hand.
"Hang in there babygirl." Lucas said lowly.
Then a nurse rushed in.
"I'm going to need you to put on a protective face mask!" She said as she put something into her IV bag.
"What? Why?" I said as I started to panic.
"She has a case of viral meningitis it's highly contagious." She said. "You might wanna get the other twin tested if they've had contact with each other, I strongly advise you to take him home."
She gave me and Lucas both a mask.
"How long do you think she will have to recover?" I asked as I rocked her back and fourth.
"I'll say 7-10 days,besides the viral meningitis and that she's in comatose state she's a pretty healthy baby." She said. I got up and laid her back down. Lucas came to my side.
"Baby she's going to be alright, I know she will." He said as he kissed my check.
I started to cry.
"My poor baby!" I looked down.
He hugged me.
"Don't cry baby." He said as he wiped my eye.
We watched her lay in a coma.
"She's a strong baby." Chresanto said as he walked in..........
