Niall's Pov:
My dad and I have been living in Bradford for over a week now, I'm slowly settling in and learning my way around the place. Zayn's been showing me around and Trisha has been making sure I have everything I need. Sharing a room with Zayn honestly hasn't been that bad, He's not the wicked step sibling you read about in stories, Were actually becoming really close, For the past couple of nights when we've gone to sleep Zayn's been cuddling really close to me, I haven't questioned him about this because honestly he's not doing any harm and I get the perfect nights sleep, Works for the both of us really. I sighed that morning as I walked out the bathroom after brushing my teeth, Today was my first day at school and honestly I'm nervous, Everyone knows what it's like being the new kid at school, You have everyone staring at you and no doubt talking about you behind your back, All in all it's not something you look forward to.
"Morning breakfast is ready" Zayn stated as he walked into the room.
"I'll be down in a second" I mumbled, Zayn raised an eyebrow.
"What's up mate?" He asked.
"Just nervous" I replied before grabbing my bag.
"Don't be, The school's honestly not that bad, Plus you have me and the boys we'll take care of you" Zayn said before throwing his arm around my shoulder. "Come on it's time to go" Zayn said, I nodded my head before exiting the bedroom with him. "Mum! Niall and I are off!" Zayn yelled as we made our way down the stairs, Seconds later Trisha walked out the living room.
"Ok, Do you boys want a lift?" She asked, Zayn nodded his head as he threw on his jacket, Trisha then grabbed her car keys and we all left the house, My nerves were still bubbling away in the pit of my stomach.
"Have fun boys, Niall you'll be fine sweetheart have a good day and Zayn behave" Trisha stated as she pulled up to the school, She slowly leaned over the car seat to place a kiss to both our cheeks.
"Thank you Trisha" I said before opening the car door.
"See you tonight mum" Zayn stated before giving his mum another quick kiss, He then climbed out the car and shut the door behind him, My eyes scanned around the school and my heart was thumping from inside my chest, The students that were standing outside all stopped what they were doing to look at me, At least that's what it felt like anyway, I took a deep breath before pulling my bag over my shoulder.
"You ready?" Zayn asked as he came up beside me, I nodded my head as I followed him inside the school, Just like most schools it was really old on the inside, The paint was peeling off the walls and it had that same dry smell, I crinkled my nose before following Zayn towards the lockers, After a good five minutes of searching I finally found mine, I had just began loading my books into the locker when a loud voice sounded in my ears.
"Zayn!" I quickly turned towards Zayn to see three boys walking towards him, Zayn smirked before shaking his head.
"Alright Lou" He said before giving the boy a quick hug.
"Could you be anymore loud man? It's Monday bloody morning" The boy with curly hair groaned before taking a sip of his drink, Zayn laughed before shaking his head.
"Cheery as ever Haz, You alright Li?" Zayn asked as he extended his hand to another boy, The boy slapped hands with Zayn before smiling at him.
"Yeah, You must be Niall it's nice to meet you, I'm Liam" The boy said before holding his hand out to me, I quickly shook it before smiling.
"I'm Harry" The curly hair boy said. "And mister loud mouth over there is Louis" He added, I chuckled before nodding my head.
"It's nice to meet you guys" I said as I extended my hand to Harry, He took it before smiling widely at me, Seconds later I was pulled into a tight hug by Louis.
"Sorry I don't do that hand shaking shit" He stated as he gave me a firm squeeze, I laughed happily before returning the hug.
"Alright Lou you can let go now before you suffocate him" Zayn joked, Louis laughed before letting go off me. "Haz you got all the same classes as Niall can you keep an eye on him? Make sure he knows his way round?" Zayn asked, Harry nodded his head before throwing his empty cup in the bin.
"Oh here comes the protective routine" Louis commented with a smirk, Zayn rolled his eyes before gently slapping Louis.
"Shut it Tomlinson" Zayn said.
"Come on Niall let's get you away from the crazy people" Harry stated before making his way over to me, I quickly closed my locker.
"I'll see you in History mate" Zayn said, I nodded my head before waving goodbye to Zayn and following Harry down the corridor.
"So how you liking Bradford so far?" Harry asked as we walked down the halls.
"It's great, I'm still learning my way around" I replied, Harry nodded before signaling for us to walk up the stairs.
"Takes a while mate, When I first moved here I had no idea where the fuck I was going, Then I met Liam and he introduced me to the boys, Were all loud and outgoing on the outside but on the inside were soft teddy bears so don't be scared to ask us directions" He said, I nodded my head. Harry and I made our way to Math's class and we spent the whole time talking, I don't know what I was so scared about things have been going great so far.
The school day came to an end quicker then I would have liked. Zayn's friends made me more then welcome, They were all brilliant, I smiled as Zayn walked into our room that night, He slowly dropped down on the bed beside me before grabbing one of my books.
"I told you you'd have nothing to worry about" He said with a cheeky smile.
"Alright smart ass" I joked, Zayn gently pushed me before smiling.
"Sounds to me like you got the attention of a few girls aswell, They wouldn't shut up about the new blue eyed Irish god" Zayn informed me, I blushed before looking down.
"Bet they say the same about you" I said, Zayn chuckled before shaking his head.
"I bloody hope not" He stated, I gave him a confused look.
"Why not?" I asked.
"I'm gay" Zayn replied with a casual shrug, My eyes widened. "Does that bother you?" Zayn questioned, I quickly shook my head.
"N-No, I just didn't expect it" I replied Zayn nodded before throwing a pencil at my face, I gasped before throwing a scrunched up piece of paper at him.
"That's it your going down Horan" Zayn yelled dramatically, My eyes widened as I quickly jumped off the bed and bolted out the room, Zayn's brilliant he really is.
