Chapter 5 - REUNION

Dylan's Pov//

'DING. DING. DING. DING.' The bell goes off to indicate that the second period is finished. I'm walking outside thinking. Thinking about that I'm still not persuaded yet that Alicia is telling the complete truth to me. I think she knows that kid. The next time I see him I'm going to..-

BANG!

"HEY! WATCH WHERE YOU'RE GOING NEWBIE!" I say looking at the kid whose name I don't even know and out of all people it's the one that kept staring at my girlfriend.

"HEY! I'M SORRY I BUMPED INTO YOU. MAYBE NEXT TIME YOU SHOULD LOOK WHERE YOU'RE GOING!"

Wow! Sarcasm much? I didn't even realize how much guts this kid's got.

"WELL STAY AWAY FROM MY GIRLFRIEND!" I say.

"Wait. Alicia is your... your girlfriend?"

"Yeah she is. And you better stay away from her or next time I see you staring at her you don't want to know what I'll do to you next!" I say giving the kid a warning. Before I walk off from him I ask one last question, "Oh. And what's your name newbie?

"Ethan. Ethan Karpathy."

"Well, Ethan. I'm giving you a warning and if I see you talking or staring at Alicia.."

"Yeah. Yeah. I know, I know." Ethan says.

That's when I walk off from him.

Ethan's Pov//

After bumping into that kid Dylan who acts like he's the boss of everybody, I walk through the school corridors and eventually end up at my locker. As I'm putting my books away and still trying to get through the fact that Dylan is 'apparently' Alicia's new boyfriend. I don't 100% believe in him that, that is the truth. The only one person who I can only ask is Alicia to agree with that.

Oh what a coincidence. I turn my head to the right whilst closing my locker and I see Alicia is walking right this way. I think she noticed me because she quickly locks eyes with mine and stops walking but swiftly turns her back to face me and starts walking back in the same direction she came from. That's when I call out her name, "ALICIA!" I yell. Maybe she didn't hear me. I try again, "ALICIA!" I yell for the second time but she doesn't respond but continues to walk. "ALICIA WAIT UP!" I yell out her name for the last time whilst running up to her.

"Alicia. Hey. Are you okay!? It's so good to see you again! I didn't think we will ever see each other ever again. What happened these last few months!? Why haven't you been hanging out with Alanna and Isabella? I see them around school but you guys aren't hanging out with each other!?.."

She stops walking. She faces me and unexpectedly says, "Ethan. Don't ever speak to me again. What happened in the past is in the past. We're living in the present. The future now. Whatever you thought we had between us it's now over and will never happen. I'm with someone else. His name is Dylan."

My heart dropped. I can't believe she actually said that.

"Alicia, but we can start over!?" I say.

"Ethan." She begins, "I didn't think I'd ever see you again..-"

"But aren't you happy that you did!? That you are seeing me again right in this very moment!?"

"Yes, but. Things have changed now Ethan. Isabella and Alanna, we don't... we don't hang out with each other anymore and you can say we're not the best-est of friends like we used to be. And Alanna's been trying out skateboarding and I'm pretty sure she's enjoying it a lot! And if I ever wanted to try out skateboarding, that's just not my thing. And for Isabella's current relationship life, well she's..."

That's when I see Jakob walking up behind Alicia standing at the back of her.

"...got a boyfriend and he's name's Tyler."

"Jakob." I say after I know what he just heard by the shock and disappointment written all over his face. I know how hard that would've been for him just like me taking in the fact that the girl that I had a really big crush on is now with someone who I now hate the most and can't stand.

"Ethan! You don't know the whole story about Isabella and Tyler." Alicia says before i walk off from her.

"What do you mean?" I ask.

"Isabella only got a new boyfriend because she knew she would never get her mind off Jakob, so she decided to get a new one for the time being. You need to tell Jakob that. He doesn't understand the truth! Besides, everybody knows that Isabella is playing around with Tyler being her 'boyfriend' it's so obvious that she doesn't like him but Tyler thinks she likes him, a lot!"

I decide to run after Jakob and leave Alicia. "HEY! JAKOB! WAIT A SEC!" I call out to him.

"I wish we never even came to this stupid school. We haven't even had a full day yet of our new school and everything has completely changed. I didn't realize how long it's been since that trip to America. I wish we hadn't even met the girls. Especially Isabella!" Jakob says whilst storming off through the door which leads to outside.

"Jakob but that's not the truth! Isabella still likes you. A lot!" I try to yell out to him but he was too quick and I was too slow to tell him.

I'm now standing alone not knowing what to do and that's when the bell rings for the end of break.

Chris' Pov//

I'm at my new school locker putting my books away. I decided to bring my skateboard to school today as I don't know what else I can occupy myself with besides sitting down playing my guitar singing songs. I'm so glad this school allows skateboards to be ridden as at my old one they didn't allow it. The only place we're just not allowed to ride them is in the school corridors. I take out my board from my locker and hold it under my right arm. As soon as I close my locker shut, I am knocked to the ground. Hard. And there is hair in my face. I'm guessing it's a girls as it's really long. Brown straight hair that smells like coconut.

"Oh My Gosh! I'm so sorry I really didn't mean to..-" The girl apologizes but I suddenly cut her off from her speech.

"Wait. Alanna. Is that you!?"

"OMG! CHRIS!" She yells with excitement whilst giving me a big hug whilst her hard fluro yellow helmet hits me in the head.

"Chris I'm so sorry I hit you again..-"

I stop her whilst I gently take off her helmet and hold it in my hands before giving her a bigger hug.

"Alanna. I've missed you so much and I thought we would never see eachother again!" I say.

"Me too! But I'm so glad I am seeing you again. Right now!" Alanna says.

"So. You do skateboarding?" I ask her.

"Yeah, well, I'm not very good at it YET! But I'll eventually get there."

I laugh, "Maybe I can show you some skating tricks."

"You. Christopher Lanzon. Tech me, how to skateboard? Since when did you know how to skateboard?" She laughs thinking I must be telling the biggest lie she's ever heard.

"Yeah I Christopher Lanzon will teach you how to skateboard. I've been doing it for ages but I guess I haven't let people see that side of me yet. They only see me as the guy playing the guitar and who has a voice that can sing."

"Well then Christopher. You can begin 'teaching' me how to skateboard tomorrow."

"Deal." I say, whilst shaking her hand. "But on one condition. Don't ever call me Christopher again, just call me Chris."

We both laugh and that's when the bell went.
