I decided that i should leave this place and find somewhere to stock up on supplies and some shelter for tonight. I walked towards the door and as i walked past the mangled corpse i kicked it for luck.
i strutted out the door imagining that back in black was playing in the background as i did the catwalk in my blood stained clothes and bolt cutters over my shoulders. I was doing an air guitar solo as i walked over to the Harley Davidson across the road. I hopped on and pretending to accelerate and thought of how cool this would be, if only i'd ever learnt to ride a push bike let alone a motor bike, a powerful one at that. So i went for the next best thing. Tied up my shoelaces and continued walking.
I headed for the little fishing store near the river, i knew for a fact that upstairs was a house and they sold weapons and food for a living. It should be an easy jackpot but then again nothing seems to easy these days. I transferred from a slow jog to a run then a walk and continued.
I was surprised when i showed up and the door was unlocked and had lights on. I entered cautious that it had been over run. i felt so bad ass with my golf club over in my hand ready to smack a bitch.
I slowly but carefully took steps up the creaky staircase until a noise alerted me. I pushed open the door to find a boy about my age, laying on his bed worried i was a zombie. we stood in silence staring at each other, trying to figure out if each other was a threat.
I broke the silence as i took a step forward, "I plan to stay awhile, if you don't like that idea then i suggest you leave". "I'm not going anywhere" was the mysterious boys response.
"Then you and I are going to have a problem" was my only response.
