I feel like I really need everyone to know this. Some kid commented on my sexuality, telling me that I'm not gay because I've dated guys.
Just because I've dated a few guys, doesn't mean I'm any less gay.
Let me tell you something, I lied to myself for a long time before finally coming out as a lesbian.
I told myself I was straight, bisexual, straight again and then I finally came to the conclusion that I just wasn't attracted to guys anymore. Sure, some are hot and some are cute and then there's others but I'm not attracted to them, unless you're Ryan Ross then by all means attract.
But even just saying that I liked both genders or saying that I was pansexual just didn't feel right, because I'm gay.
Another thing coming off the same topic, you can't choose to be gay.
I did not 'choose' to be gay. It would never have even crossed my mind and I certainly wouldn't have chosen this to live out my life.
It's not 'easy', for some, sure. For the rest, no.
Being gay isn't as perfect as some make it out to be.
Example; having to ask every person you have a crush on if they're gay.
Please, please, please, just think about what you say. You can be homosexual no matter if you've dated guys or girls, but we didn't choose this.
