Of Course I Will (Motanite)

Note: This is sometime before they (Spark, Mot, Jeriah, Country Bat) left Ruxomar. Like, loooong before.

*Mot POV*

I loved Sundays. There was just something about them that made me want to smile. Smile and laugh the pain away as I was captured in a bubble of bliss. I don't know what it was that made me feel that way. Maybe it was the serenity from all around me, capturing every bird's song and every animal's voice in perfect manner. Maybe it was the sun, shining on the fields and shrouding the land in golden light. Or maybe, it was the time spend together with family, bringing us closer and closer to each other with every minute passing by. I turned around, smiling as I looked at my family, Dianite and Alyssa. I watched in awe as Dianite played with Alyssa, red flames of magic flying around like fireworks, dancing majestically and sparkling in the sunlight . He seemed very fond of her and that was a massive relief. I was glad that he liked my daughter especially when we had a great relationship together. I felt excitement bubble up inside my chest. I had plans for tonight. Big plans. Massive plans. After months and months of inspirational speeches from Spark, I felt ready. This night was going to be unforgettable. Hopefully.

*TIME SKIP*

 Since this night was going to be a special night, I asked Spark to help me get ready. He rummaged through my wardrobe and pulled out a black suit with a green tie to match. I sighed in disappointment. I really hated that thing.

"Are you sure this is necessary Spark?" I asked after I put the blasted thing on. I looked at my reflection in the big, silver mirror as I pulled at the corn silk colored collar. It was choking me. "I mean, it's just Dianite."

"Mot, he is your boyfriend. You have to look nice. Especially tonight," he reminded me. "If you ask Alyssa, she would agree with me."

"Of course she would, she literally agrees with most of the things you say." Spark chuckled.

"Trust me Mot. Now come on. You wouldn't want to be late." He went into the living room as I stayed back a bit, looking at my reflection again. Somehow, wearing the suit didn't feel right. One night didn't hurt, did it? I went into the living room to find Spark and Alyssa on the couch. He was reading her a story. As I walked towards her, her bat ears started twitching slightly as she jerked her head up towards me and Spark paused reading.

"Daddy!" she shouted as she ran towards me with her bat wings flowing around like a cloak. She hugged me and then let go, admiring the suit. " You look really fancy daddy. Are you going on that special night with Dia?" I laughed as I heard that. How can someone be so smart. I haven't told her yet. I raised an eyebrow at Spark who just raised up his hands defensively.

"Yes darling. Now, be a good girl and do what uncle Spark tells you, ok?" Alyssa nodded aggressively as I walked out the door, bidding Spark and Alyssa goodbye. I walked as fast as I could towards the fields near Farmer Steve's house. I finally reached my destination as my breath hitched. Dianite was waiting for me at a candlelit table wearing a ruby red suit. He smiled as he saw me. I sat down and prayed that this night would work out in my favor.

*TIME SKIP*

The night was almost over and Dianite and I were walking towards the closest Nether portal. I could feel my heart pounding in my chest as Dianite turned towards the portal, almost stepping inside. I grabbed his wrist and turned around.

"Dianite, I have something to tell you." Dianite looked at me with curiosity as I took a deep breath.

"Go ahead Mot. Nothing's stopping you."

"Ever since I met you, I felt a different type of energy pulling me closer and at first, that scared me. I didn't know what it was but after you asked me out, I finally knew. It was love. Since that day, my life changed drastically. I could never imagine a day without you. So I won't live without you. Will you marry me?" I went down on my knee and pulled out the red box I had in my pocket. Dianite smiled.

"Of course I will, Mot. I would in every single lifetime spend together with you," he replied smiling as I smashed my lips against his.
