The found (chap 5)

Andreas POV

"Oh my god its you!!! I really missed you Andrea! Im so glad i found you!" Well i found her but lets not jump into that. She gave me a squirming hug until i couldn't breath. "Uhm Gem, can i please breath again.." Finally she released me from the cage hug. "Oh I'm so sorry. You wouldn't believe whats been going on in my house and what is up with the weather Andrea?" Apparently Gem thinks i can 'read the weather' and know exactly whats happening. I only felt the big storms come because my chest would feel like it was filling up with air and would hurt a lot! But i let her think that sometimes. "Well if we look at todays forecast in my mind, it says that, oh wait im getting some more news it says that Gem is thinking that i know all the weather." She gave me a sarcastic smile and giggled. "Right i forgot that!"

Gem was the closest friend i've had. She never really got mad for anything. When i told her that i had this weird force thing she thought i was crazy, just like everyone else thought! One time in school i remember an earthquake occurred and everyone was freaking out cause it was big! One kid was running around and my force was growing so instead of using my force wisely and use it to stop the ground shaking, i pushed him with my force across the room. The teacher, Mrs. Valero said i was doing 'black magic' on a kid? What? During an earthquake i would really do something like that? I just thought i was dreaming or something, i let it go though as people might put me in some institution for crazy kids!

Gem and i both sat down on the rock and chatted. "....Gem...why were you crying?" Her eyes were puffy with a pale face. "Well at home something horrible had happened." Her shoulders had slouched and she became more serious. "Tell me" i said in a whisper. "Well at home i was taking out the trash when my mom came home drunk with a guys hand wrapped around her waist. I asked her why she was doing this to herself? Dad and her were happy as i had thought before. I called dad and told him what had happened, he came home and was holding a bat in his hand. He started yelling and..he..he beat the guy to death. He also..." She started crying a lot she couldn't finish telling me what had happened. She stood up again and started talking again. "He asked her where she had been and she said she had gotten him fired and also found out that he had cheated on her a year previously. Now i have no idea where she is, my dad is so furious with her, we have a dead man in our home, and i have nobody to talk to. That man apparently made a promise with my dad to keep it a secret since he had found out and would have tried to get my mom and him into madness as he really liked my mom. My dad is into wrestling and went crazy and beat him to death!!!!!!"

She started crying really loud and she even screamed , the echoes took awhile to die down. She really was messed up now. "Wait but why don't you talk to your dad about forgiving her or talking to him for a better solution?" I knew that wouldn't work i don't think positive i would've told her thats it, your lifes over and so is your family. But i couldn't i had to lie to keep my friend happy well at least cheer her up.

"No i dont want to be with him either, he cheated on my mom a couple months back. I read his text one day from a women who i didn't recognize, her name was liz. I remembered and that wasn't the only clue, i saw them before at a café, i was guessing it just business until this day i found out she wasn't as good as she seemed.

Gem laid her head on my shoulder and felt the tears melt through my shirt. "I just feel like dyeing in a hole. I only have you Andrea. Thank you so much for listening. Your the only person i can trust with my problems." She looked up at me with her mascara flowing everywhere down her shirt and on her face. "Hey listen to me! Im not the type of sweetheart who helps people but listen it isn't your problem, you can leave with me. I think your mom and dad need some time on their own. Tell your mom or dad that your staying over at my place for a week" her spirit was completely crushed. She frowned at me every time she looked up.

"Its okay he wont care. He's already with someone else anyway he wont care about me anymore. I hate him." She looked like she wanted to punch something hard.

"Hey try punching the tree, pretend its your dad so you don't go to jail for punching him" hey i am a good friend except for the part where I'm kind of encouraging her to hate someone who she is suppose to love. But Gem was right, her dad never cared what she did or where she was. He just wanted to be alone all the time. The times i've gone to her house her mom was always drinking or cleaning and her dad was locked up in his office room. She really needed some time by herself or with me.

She came close to the tree and looked at me like i was going to give her a cue to go. She gave a furious face and then she..slumped down on the floor. "Andrea what am i doing? My life is ruined basically. I need to find my mom. She could be wondering these woods alone." I thought about that an i also thought, what ever happened to Phillip? "Gem come and help me find someone" she looked confused. "Look for who?" She raised one of her eyebrows at me. "His name is Phillip, i met him around this area of the woods. Have you seen a man around here? He looks about in is late 40's early 50's?" She gave me a straight face and put her hand on my shoulder.

What was she going to tell me? Please tell me his okay i thought.
