I slowly opened my eyes as Jacqueline hadn't dropped the blade yet. I looked up shocked, Jacqueline had a pitch black sword through her throat. The sword then pulled out of the throat wound and Jacqueline fell to the ground. "Back away from my kill." I heard my savior say as he stepped closer. I couldn't believe my eyes, it was Phoenix!
"W-why..did....you-" I was cut off as Phoenix interrupted "Even though we are enemies, I am determined to kill you. If anyone tries to take my place as your murderer then I will kill them." He said without expression. I saw Jacqueline burst into ashes on the ground as Phoenix helped me up "Rest up, I will continue to attack you however I want a fair fight. Therefore you must heal before I return to attack you." He said with a smug look and disappeared I walked back inside after watching my neighborhood repair itself, most likely due to Phoenix's energy. I walked inside and went to my bed and hopped back into my body and went to bed. The next few days went smoothly as Phoenix kept to his word of not returning. I healed within a week due to my demonic blood and afterwards my dreams became longer and days became shorter. The hollow visits became less and less and no more demons were sent to kill me yet so I assumed they were formulating a new plan of attack due to the fact that they had one sin dead and the other severely injured. The weekend rolled around and not much happened. Everything was quite boring until Amenidiel showed up Monday afternoon when I was in my room listening to music. "I got good news." He sat and I pulled out my ear buds "I know his next move." He said while pulling out a paper and handing it to me "Details are mentioned?" I asked while eyeing the paper "Duh, I know you would kill me if I left anything out." He responded "Correct, but when does he plan to send his team of "elites" to kill me?" I asked while handing the paper back "Next week, I suggest you go find Helios, he's the only person who can help you right now." He answered "Helios is a hard man to find." I stated "I understand that but if you don't find him then he will." He said "Highly impossible." I stated "Not true, he has an idea of where he is." Amenidiel answered as I raised an eyebrow "Where?" I asked "In the Nether dimension." He answered as I jumped at his words "How in the hell?" I said quickly "No one knows, but remember Helios was a master of dimensional travel it wouldn't be impossible for him to reach it." He replied "Then how can I get there?" I asked quickly "Combine portals from heaven and hell, that's what he did when he opened it for us to see. He's going to send a band of 4 elites to capture him." He replied "Improbable, Helios is a master in combat." I responded quickly and creates the two portals "The nether is not safe, Vulcan you may not make it back.." He shot back at me while the portals merged together slowly "Doesn't matter, if they get Helios then this world and all others are doomed to eternal despair." I said with a grim tone "True, this journey will decide everything's fate in the upcoming war." He answered while the portals were seconds from merging "That's right, if I don't succeed then everyone will die." I answered as the portals merged showing a dark world with a pitch black sky and a dark sandy terrain where dragons flew about freely. "If I don't return in one hour then I am dead." I said before stepping through the portal.
