1. THE TITLE SAYS IT ALL! Your title should grab your reader's attention and relate to the topic.
2. You can't write about what you don't know so, RESEARCH YOUR TOPIC!
3. Organize your ideas and MAKE A PLAN (outline).
4. Begin writing, but STICK TO YOUR PLAN.
5. ADD YOUR OWN STYLE to your writing. Adding your own voice will make it more interesting!
6. STAY ON TOPIC! Make sure all the information you include related to your topic.
7. LESS IS MORE. Don't use 15 words if you can't say the same thing with 10.
8. GRAMMAR IS IMPORTANT. Think of it as the glue that holds good writing together (and don't forget about spelling).
9. READ AND REVISE. Remember Rome wasn't built in a day – and the first draft is never the FINAL.
10. ENJOY YOUR WRITING. Take pride in a job well done.
