Second Attempt

      (Shadow's POV)

It's been a week now since we were attacked. Steven is flipping out but won't let Connie know he is. I'm not flipping out just being extra cautious. Connie well is just herself like nothing ever happened. I guess we're okay. We all agreed to never go camping again. So we are going to go "camping" in my backyard because it is only a little wooded area. Plus I made a fort back there. They're coming over tomorrow. So Doug and I are putting down stones for the fire pit and other finishing touches.

"Yay!" Connie screams when she gets to my house with Steven. He's never been to my house before so I don't know how this is going to go. They come inside. "Don't you have a sister?" Steven asks. "Yeah but she is at her dads so we have the house to ourselves." "Cool." Steven replies. "Where's the fort I want to see it!?" Connie asks very excited. "In the back, come on." They follow me into the backyard. Connie looks very confused when she walks in. "Where's the beds?" Connie asks. "We have sleeping bags duh." I snap back playfully. Steven starts laughing. We both look at him immediately and ask "what are u laughing at?" He starts laughing even harder. Connie and I look at each other and start laughing hysterically. After that we started setting things up. Once we finished, we just talked and played games. It was getting dark Connie was flipping out because she couldn't see anymore. I went inside the house and got some flashlights and a lantern while Steven stayed with Connie to "protect her". When I came back Connie snatched the flashlight out of my hand so she could see. I fell over because she yanked it out of my hand and was not expecting that. Connie yelled "OMG! Are you okay!?" Steven helped me up because Connie was too busy apologizing. We set up the lights and Connie calmed down. Steven  and I started the fire because Connie was too afraid of getting burnt. Since Steven and I did all the work, I suggested Connie to go get the marshmallows. Steven said "no" and went with Connie because it was dark. I had an idea to freak them out. I screamed and ran away to make them think I was taken by the unicorn or something. All I heard was rustling in the leaves which was probably them rushing down to see what happened.

(Connie's POV)

As Steven and I ran down the trail to see what happened, Shadow was GONE?! "Steven....what if it was....?" I got cut off. "No, I know what your going to say! No the unicorn is not flipping back!" Steven said sorta spazing out. "What's wrong Steven? Ever since that night a few weeks ago you seem to be going crazy or something." I tried to ask but it seemed like he was getting madder at me. "Don't worry about it okay? Let's just find Shadow and get inside." Steven said seeming very tense. "Okay but we'll talk about this lat...." I got  cut off.

(Shadow's POV)

I heard them arguing with each other. So I decided to pop out before it got really bad. I popped out of a nearby bush at the time Connie was saying "Okay but we'll talk about this." I'm pretty sure I scared the living shit out of them because Steven tripped and fell. Connie just stood there screaming with her eyes closed than turned around to run away but ran into a tree. I stood there trying not to burst out laughing but I couldn't help it. They are one odd couple. After I was done laughing I saw Steven still on the ground I think spazing and Connie saying "HI Mr. Tree and thank you than falling on the ground again saying ouch and crying really loud. I went up to Steven and yelled at him "SNAP OUT OF IT!" That worked. I think he heard Connie crying and rushed over to her, I did the same. Steven was comforting her. After Connie was done crying Steven slapped me. I think there was a red mark on my face. "Thx Steven." I said sarcastically. "Well it's your fault you scared me and hurt Connie." "Yeah, yeah I know." That's the only reason I didn't slap him back.
