All through elementary you and (F/N) grew closer as friends, spending every recess together, bribing the teacher to be seated beside one another, sharing test and quiz scores with no judgement. You knew you had a good friend, a best friend. You weren't so lonely anymore, sure you still had your times were you were, but most of the times were because you wanted to be alone. Everything in life seemed to be amazing.
But one day, one awful day in 5 grade, you and (F/N) had something awful happend. Your first fight.(Y/N) POV-
Class just ended, I walk up behind (F/N) to confirm the weekly sleepover for this week. I stood there for a minute, she didn't notice me behind her. I notice a familiar girl standing infront of her. 'Emma'. I deside to stand behind (F/N) and east-drop. I hear the two talking, it sounds like they are making plans for a sleepover, this weekend! I must have miss heard!
In distress I decided intervene.
"Hey (F/N), hey Emma" I said trying to act as if I had heard nothing.
"Oh, hey (Y/N)!" (F/N) said quickly, surprised by my sudden appearance. I put my arm on (F/N)'s shoulder to rest it as I did occasionally since I was about 2 inches taller, also trying to show Emma that me and (F/N) were better friends. I was surprised by my reaction of defence. I don't know why I felt the need to stand by (F/N), and try to prove something to Emma. Why was I doing this. I couldn't answer my own question.
I came out of my trace of talking in my mind, only to notice that they went on planning the event.
" So..... what are you guys talking about?" I intervened again.
(F/N) opened her mouth as if going to say something, but was cut off quickly by Emma.
"Well, we were just planning our sleepover, the we are having, this weekend!"
There was nothing wrong with the way she said it, but an almost anger grew in my stomach.
I looked at (F/N) in shock,
"I thought me and you were having a sleepover this weekend, like the one we always have. You know..."
My response probably wasn't the best given what happened next. (F/N) looked at me and said,
"Well, I just, that maybe me and Emma could have a sleepover this weekend instead."
I get this is a stupid thing to fight about but anger grew quickly in my stomach. But I still did not know why.
I snapped, I was just down right mad, at Emma and (F/N)
"Well, no, me and (F/N) are having a sleepover this weekend, I am her friend, not YOU!" I directed it towards Emma.
I was surprised that I raised my voice. A few people looked over at me. I was going to apologize, because I know right from wrong and I knew this was clearly wrong. But I also didn't want to be known as a pushover. They both had a surprised expression written over there faces. I tried to storm off, taking (F/N)'s hand, but she pulled away quickly. And was mature, and walked away calmly with Emma. But before they left (F/N) said something. Something I won't forget. Something that summed up what I was feeling, it made perfect sense,
"Your just jealous"
Jealous. The word I was feeling. I was jealous. Jealous of losing my bestfriend to someone else.
Jealous.
