Senior Year

Oliver Queen threw another touchdown and the stadium went wild. The girl's swooned over his muscles while the guys talked about his skill with a football. All Tommy Merlyn wanted to was leave. He hated football, crowds and especially Queen but his father was sponsoring tonight's game and he had to be there for the family. Malcolm walked over and patter his son on the shoulder and said "if you don't get him, someone else will" and walked away smiling. Tommy moaned and followed his dad.
     Oliver looked out into the stands. He saw his little sister and his parents. He searched the VIP section and couldn't find Tommy. Damn, he thought to himself. Just as he was heading to find him Laurel Lance, the police chiefs daughter came running up to him. "Oliver, I have a friend who would love to meet you" she said excitedly. Oliver put his hand on her shoulder and said
"Thanks Laurel but I have something to take care of" and off he went leaving Laurel dumbfounded.
     Oliver searched the hallways and finally caught a glimpse of Tommy. "Hey Tommy, wait up" Oliver called. Tommy stopped. His dad winked at him and strolled off. "Tommy, did you see that last touchdown?" Oliver asked excitedly. Tommy nodded and Oliver seemed over joyed. Tommy was just about to leave when Oliver pulled him closer, fiddled with his hair and then pulled him in for a deep, passionate kiss and said "would you wear my letterman jacket?" He asked in Tommy's ear. Tommy took in a deep breath and said "yes of course" and the two of them left the stadium together.
     By the end of the week all the people at school could talk about was the power couple. Tommy and Oliver were seen together every minute of the day and at night. They studied together, they walked to and from school together and they are lunch together every day. Tommy wore Oliver's letterman jacket with pride and Oliver wore the promise ring Tommy got him like a Super Bowl ring.
     Graduation came quicker than either of them wanted. The great thing was that both of them would be attending Yale together in the fall. After graduation Tommy and Oliver made the announcement everyone was waiting for, "we are getting married" Oliver announced to everyone at the grad party. As the shouts and congrats got louder Oliver and Tommy kissed each other and planned for the big event that would happen one month from that date.
