I was on my way with Casey to go back to the car when Duke jumps in front of me and blocks me. He looked at me with a nervous face and didn't say a word.

"Um yes, Duke? What do you want?" I ask getting a little impatient.

He takes a deep breath before finally saying something. "Tomorrow.  Music Center Plaza. 1:30 p.m. Be there." He then walks off before I could respond.

"What the heck was that?" I said looking at Casey. Casey giggles.

"What does it look like. He asked you on a date." She says winking at me.

"What?! No way! That did not sound like a date. He is probably just challenging me," I argue as we walk into the parking garage.

"Rosette. Sometimes I think you are clueless to the things right in front of you," she says as she unlocks the car doors.

"No, I am not clueless. He is trying to trick me and I won't fall for it," I say opening the passenger door.

"Okay, If you say so," she says rolling her eyes at me. This is just another prank...I won't fall for it.

It was already tomorrow and I already had done all of my homework. I decided to just chill at home and play some more video games with my brother because it was raining like cats and dogs outside. My Dad was home too so I spent quality time with him talking about my grades at school. He asked me if I made any 'Special friends' I knew he was hinting at if I found a boyfriend. Sometimes I feel like the only reason they wanted me to go to Highland High is so I could find a Wealthy guy, get married and have kids. That's just not me. When I meet the right guy, I will know.

I look at my phone and see that it's 4:12 p.m. Hmm I wonder if Duke is still there. What?! Snap out of it. It's just a prank. I then get a buzz from my phone. I look to see that Casey texted me.

Casey: So, did u go?

Me: No, I told you he was just trying to prank me...

A few seconds later I get another message.

Casey: Girl! Didn't u see the look on his face? He was nervous. He was asking u on a date!

"Ha. Yeah. Right." I think back to when we were at the Airport. Maybe she was right...I mean he did look a little nervous. I then looked outside and my eyes got wide in realization. He wouldn't actually still be waiting for me this long?! In this weather?! I quickly run and get my coat and grab an umbrella.

"Honey where are you going in this terrible weather?" my mom asks with a worried look.

"Sorry, mom. I have to go somewhere for a bit," I say as I put my boots on.

"Okay well be careful."

"I will," I say as I shut the front door behind me. I run as fast as I could to the bus stop. To my luck, there was a bus coming my way. It took me about 20 minutes to get to there. As soon as I got there I couldn't find him. It was even harder to see with all of the rain pouring down. Then, in the distance, I could see something. I saw someone sitting on the ground with no umbrella. He was soaking wet just sitting there, waiting. He was waiting for me.

I walk over to him. He didn't seem to notice me walking over. His eyes were fixed on the ground like he was deep in thought. He only noticed me when I was right next to him, holding the umbrella over his head. He looked up at me. His porky pine hair was now flat and wet from the rain. His eyes turned from shock to relief. Suddenly, he got up and embraced me. My heart instantly skipped at beat.

"D-Duke! What are you doing?" I asked a little embarrassed.

"C-c-cold!" he breathes next to my ear. I suddenly realized he was shaking. I push him away then punched him in the chest.

"You idiot! Why would you wait for me in this cold weather?!" I scolded.

"Because you were supposed to be here. I thought maybe you were running late or something," He says through chattering teeth.

"I never said I was coming! You didn't let me have a chance to respond. You idiot..."

"Still... your here now," he says with hopeful eyes.

I then sigh. "Okay, I guess it can't be helped. Why don't I buy you some coffee? That should help you get warm. I know a good place around here."

"Okay. Y-you b-better b-be buying."

I was about to argue with him but decided not to. It wasn't worth it. Instead, I just took his hand and lead him through the rain with both of us under my little umbrella. We walked for only about three minutes before we reached the place. It was a Hotel but it had a cute little Cafe on the top floor. We went inside and Duke was still shivering from being wet.

"W-where is this cafe at that you're taking me? This is a Hotel," He says getting impatient.

"It's on the top floor," I said as we walk in the elevator. This Hotel had 10 floors.

He sighs. "Seriously." as I push the elevator button for the tenth floor. I decided to ignore that comment. We both stood in silence for a few seconds. The only sounds were Duke breathing and the beeps of going up the elevator. Suddenly, the elevator stopped in between the floors six and seven. I pushed the emergency button but it didn't seem to work. It was like there was no power.

"Whats going on? Why did it stop?" Duke says with a worried look.

I started to panic myself. "I-I don't know. The elevator just stopped. The emergency button doesn't even work." I said as I look at him in horror. His eyes got wide in shock. Crap. I'm going to be stuck in here for a whole night with Duke Hamilton...
