Melodies In Time

Chapter 3- Dream-Like Memories

          It was two days into Taeyeon's break. She woke up, took a shower and changed as her plan was to go out for breakfast. As she puts on her boots and exit her dorm, her manager was there to give her a ride to her breakfast place. Thirteen minutes pass, down the busy streets packed with cars Taeyeon arrived at another Café. Due to the traffic, her manager told her to call her when she wants a ride back home, as there is no parking space. Taeyeon went into the café and ordered a bagel. "I wonder...where he is." She said to herself while scrolling through her instagram account.

             "That bagel is a bit to basic, don't you think?" She stopped in a middle of her bite. her eyes widen. That voice...that same, soft voice. She turned around to the table behind her. It was him, his warm deep eyes, soft brown hair, bright smile... "Baekhyun..." she said. It was Baekhyun, right there he was drinking his coffee. with a small smile he said "So you do remember me." Taeyeon was confused herself, her heart started to raced faster than ever. Gradually she stared deeper into his eyes, "Tick-Tock, Tick-Tock" that sound, came back into her head, followed by his voice. Everything then stood still once more, she looked at him and smiled happily.

          With a blink of her eyes, she suddenly was sitting in a room, She looked up... it was her and  Baekhyun together, laying on a couch, reading. A few seconds pass by, the room changed again, Baekhyun was cooking with her by his side. Throughout the time fracture, all she would hear is his voice, singing just like that summer. When everything disappeared , she realized she was still in the café, when she blinked, he was gone, quickly she got up to the table he was at, with only his coffee remaining there. Melodies ran through her head once more; she paid for her breakfast and exited the café, walking aimlessly down the sidewalk one tear, ran down her face...

                     When she lifted her head, she saw Baekhyun's figure once more, she started running to it, passing through the crowd, as she got closer she reached her arms out, when she finally reached him and grabbed his shoulder, he turns. Only with a smile, she then hugged him..."Stay for a bit" she said. Even Baekhyun's suprised himself. As the two walked side by side, neither said a word, Taeyeon's heart was still, constantly racing. She looked up at Baekhyun, he looks down. "Taeyeon" he said. "hmm?". "Sorry...I'm so sorry." he said with his voice breaking. Tears ran down his face. When his second drop of tear hit the ground, everything froze, "I-I'll come back..." he turned towards her. His face got closer, they both close their eyes, Taeyeon's heart was racing relentlessly, his smell, went all around her. As their lips were about to meet, a sudden gust of wind blew. He was gone. She opened her eyes and she was in front of her dorm at night. "Come back..." She said quietly. As she went inside and closed the door she leaned against the door, looking up at the ceiling. She dropped and burst into tears.  "Why?!, Why?!" she screamed, no answers came to her. Only his voice remains in her head as she cries...
