"Oh, what is WRONG with you two?"
"It's not my fault Carter is a blithering idiot, miss!" Lexa snarled. He glared daggers at her with those cold dark eyes.
"You're not even trying," he said. Ms Felicia let out a groan that sounded like a strangled cat. "I wish Mr Pascal could be here. All you have to do is connect!"
"That doesn't really help. If a pilot is learning to fly a plane, miss, you wouldn't tell him 'all you have to do is fly', now would you?" Lexa asked, "That would result in destruction."
"This is heading the same way," Alex muttered. Ms Felicia looked at him, clearly fatigued. "My dear boy," she looked at him with her sparkling emerald eyes. "Must you be so difficult?"
"Me?" He pointed to Lexa, "She's not exactly Miss Co-operation, is she?"
"Hey, leave me out of it!'
"Shut up."
"Why don't you go shove your face down a-"
"Enough!" Ms Felicia stared at them in dismay. "I cannot take this...let me think." There was a moment of silence as she probably contemplated if they would help the world or just destroy it even more. She looked up suddenly, gripping their shoulders, pulling them closer so that they were next to each other.
"You must spend more time with each other. No, let me explain-" she cut Lexa off, who had begun to argue. "That way you will find it easier to work with each other. You must learn about connecting through your mind. It's about understanding, teamwork and tolerance. We'll try again tomorrow morning, same as today. Now, off to class!' she said, walking out of the Philosophies Room, the two Elementai following close behind. "If it goes on like this, I'll have grey hair by day 3!" she muttered to herself.

"How did it go?" Axel whispered to Lexa in the Healing Classroom. It was a peaceful environment, with light blue-tinted walls and large windows, letting the sunlight filter through. Mrs Heather was the main Healer who taught them. With a kind face, soft blonde-streaked brown hair cascading down her back, and light brown eyes, she wasn't unlike Axel. Axel had almost the exact same features, but a sharper face and silver-streaked hair. They sat at tables, facing Mrs Heather, who was teaching them how to make an antidote using various plants.
"How do you think?" Lexa softly replied, "We had to stare at each other, trying to get into each other's minds. What the knickerbockers?"
Axel smiled sympathetically. Of course, Lexa had told her and Ex everything the previous night. "And she said we have to spend more time together, to understand each other and learn to work together," Lexa imitated in a squeaky voice. "I mean, come on, this isn't Dr Phil!"
"Are you girls paying attention?" Mrs Heather asked with a sharp voice. They both looked up and nodded.

That evening was a crescent moon. It was full morphing time for Lupusi, and they usually celebrated with the Elementai. That night was no different. Most people sat in the common room, where the bean bags had been moved around a long table filled with delicious food and desserts. Lexa almost drooled just looking at it. Roast chicken with extra sauce, juicy steaks with a side of steamed potatoes, pizza with so many toppings that Lexa lost count. And the desserts alone...pastries brushed with sugary powder, filled with creams, stuffed with chocolate *insert drool here*.
"I want to eat everything," Lexa's voice was muffled by all the food in her mouth. Axel rolled her eyes. "You're going to get indigestion."
"No she won't," Ex answered, spitting chunks of food as his mouth was also full.
"Gross, Ex!" Axel screeched, wiping her shirt. They were sitting on either side of Lexa. It was jam-packed, with loads of ruckus and people, which made it surprising that Alex Carter had even bothered to show up. He was sitting across from them on the other side of the table. He got up to fetch some pizza, and Lexa eyes sparked. Ex looked at her. "What are you thinking, Lex?" She smirked, grabbed some hot chilly jalapeno sauce (the hottest flavour with the best prices-get it in stores near you!) and, leaning over, poured nearly half the bottle into Alex's drink. Axel covered her mouth in surprise and Ex's eyes were wide open. "Ohh Lex, oh man," he said, shaking his head. "This is going to be epic."
They all stared at Alex as he sat down and took a long swig of his cooldrink. His eyes widened. "Hot," he said, "Really hot." He pushed away from the table, standing up, gaining more attention from the table. "Hot!" Suddenly, he burst into flames. No, literally, he was a fireball. Don't worry, though, as fire was his Elementai power. "Hot!" he said with slightly more expression. Nearly everyone in the common room was staring at him now. "HOT!"
"Well, you are on fire," Lexa said, standing up, enjoying watching him wave his hands frantically. And, you know, him being freaking FLAMING WITH FIRE.
"Water!" he yelled, completely out of character. He never showed expression. This was an obvious exception. "Got you covered," Lexa grinned, shooting her natural element, water, right at his face. She moved her hands in a wide motion and well, it basically rained cats and dogs on Alex. Everyone was busting their sides laughing, until Alex looked up with such irritation and fury that everyone shut up.
Except for Ex.
He kept guffawing, shaking with laughter, until he looked up to see Alex glowering at him. He slowed down and looked around to see he was the only one. Making a last half-hearted, high-pitched laugh, he put on a straight face. It was deadly quiet.
Alex slowly picked up a jar of milk close to him and walked around the table, everyone's gaze on him. Lexa felt him stand behind her and turned in her seat. "No hard feelings?" she squeaked. SLOSH! He poured the whole jug of milk right onto her head. She paused only for a second before she grabbed a pizza and hurled it at him, but he ducked and it hit Ex instead. "Hey!" he said, tossing a piece of pie which hit the girl behind Lexa. "FOOD FIGHT!" Lexa yelled. What followed was a catastrophic frenzy of flying food, messy hair and clothes, strategic aiming and launching. It was right jolly fun...until Commander walked in and Axel shot a pizza straight into his shnoz.
Eyes widened, people stopped, their hands in midair, frozen with fear. "Aw man," someone said.
Lexa went up to Commander and held out her hand, in which was a sloppy pizza. "Want some?" she asked apologetically.
He looked down at her, wiping the food off his face. "I've had enough, I think," he rumbled. "EVERYBODY CLEAN THIS UP!" He bellowed without warning.
"There goes my left ear," Lexa muttered. Needless to say, that night was the best and worst Lupusi celebration ever.
