Chapter 5: Time is not on our side

When Mr. Peabody woke up he was in the hospital. 

"Allie?" He called weakly. 

The girl walks to him. 

"Hi dad. How are you feeling?" She asked. 

"I have felt better." He said. 

Two days later they are home. Mr. Peabody lays on the couch. 

"I made you soup." Allie said. 

"Thank you Allie." He said. 

Allison gives Mr. Peabody a bowl of chicken noodle soup. He slowly eats the entire continents in the bowl. Over the next couple weeks the dog starts getting better. One day while watching TV. Allie hears strange noises from her father's stomach. He begins to gag. 

"Here." Allie says as she gives her dad a trashcan. 

He immediately throws up. 

"You okay daddy?" She asked with a worried voice. 

 

"No sweetie. Daddy is sick." He said before throwing up again. 

He continues to throw up throughout the remainder of the night. Morning the dog is still sick. And Allie conveniences him to go to the doctor. At the hospital the dog is taken in a room. Allie paces the floor. A doctor comes to her. 

"He won't make it through the night." The doctor said with a sad voice. Allie starts to sob hysterically.
