The class was currently lined up in pairs, waiting to get on the coach. I was stood in the back along with my best friend (and probably only friend) Mikaele Haven. Together we were officially known as the "nerd sisters" around school. As sad as it may seem, I personally like our title.
Anyways, we were now approaching the entrance of the coach. I felt excited for our trip to the Termitha Jungle (A/N. Haha, "Termitha Jungle", made that up, unless.. it's actually a real jungle?) Thinking back, it wasn't that hard to persuade my parents to sign the permission slip, in fact it was easy, very easy.
Flashback
BANG! I heard the door downstairs open and closed. I knew then that my parents were home. I quickly searched through my bag for the permission slip and ran downstairs.
I was greeted with my mom and dad both slumped down in the couch, exhaustion evident on their faces. I sat myself down next to my mom and gave her a hug.
"Hey sweetie, how's your day been?" Dad asked. Oh, nothing special. Just the same old teasing and bullying and teasing y'konw. Bitch please, now as if I'd actually say that.
"Oh, it was great! School was so fun today!" I replied back, sarcasm was dripping from my voice.
Both laughed.
"So, we suspect that it was boring then?" Mom said. I nodded at her.
"Um, mom.. dad, is it okay if you sign this permission slip? It's for our class trip tommorrow. Were going to Termitha Jungle." I said. Ahh, gosh. Hopefully they say yes. Please god? I've been very good today!
"Sure honey."
"But, pleas- wait what?" I stared at them dumbfounded. I wasn't hearing things right? You guys heard that, right?
"Sure? As in sure, like I can go sure?" I asked. Hey! I wanted to make sure. They nodded at me.
"Yeah. Sure, as in sure you can go- but if you listen carefully again, it's also whispering that you need to becareful and bring your tracking chip with you, for safety purposes."They said. I jumped cheering. Ah, I dont even care that I have to bring a tracking chip (no matter how weird that would be tomorrow when it beeps every time), all that matters is they said yes. They bloody said yes. WOOHOOOOO!!!
End of Flashback
That's how easy it was.
Suddenly I felt a light nudge in my shoulder. Oh! I was holding up the line. I quickly hopped on the coach and started walking towards the back to look for a seat with Mikaela.
Finally we found a seat, and we sat down. This would be along journey... I should sleep through it.
And sleep I did. I had woken up a few minutes before our arrival. I let out a groan as a sudden flash of sunshine hit my eye causing me to wince from the brightness, and over exaggerate the pain by repeatedly screaming in agony whilst dramatically clutching my eye as if I were about to die the most painful death. Ahh, imagine that in the news, I could already see the headline, "GIRL DIES FROM SUNSHINE ATTACK", the publicity on that.
"Oi, Mae. You alright there?" asked Mikaela. I nodded towards her and smiled as I saw her nod, satisfied with my answer. Didn't want to get her worried, she already does it too often, she was like a mother on a wedding day, worrying about everything, thinking about all the possibilities that could go wrong. I mean jesus, what could go wrong with today? The worst that could happen would be getting left behind by everyone with the bad boy, leaving us stranded on the island! Hilarious thought. As if that would happen, that would be the day I died.
"Well, glad your alright, but can you get your ass moving? Were going to get left behind if we don't hurry out" I looked around me to find that my class had already started to make their way out of the bus leaving only me and Mikaela to get out. Rushing out of my seat I quickly grabbed my bag and made sure to check that my tracking chip was safely secured on me and was functioning normally, with the press of the button the device was on. Technology these days, amazing things they are.
Stepping out of the coach, I stopped in my tracks and was mesmerized by my surroundings.
Ahh, the fresh tropical breeze. Now this was paradise. With the soft air blowing through your wind swept hair, the sparkling white sand underneath your foot, and not to mention the beautiful plants that grew and stood tall with pride and beauty, with their blossoms blooming and shining against the bright sun. My dear, this was Termitha Jungle. Don't let the looks of the place fool you though, the outside may be pretty but the inside is classified as one of the worlds top #25 deadliest jungles, curtesy of the wild man eating animals and tropical flowers with teeth. And here I am wondering, why in the world was this place chosen for our geography trip. Do they want to kill us? dun.. dun.. dun!
"Oh Mr. Sunny! Sir, what in the world is that beeping sound, its ruining my delicate ears!" I snorted. Omg. There goes the bitch going all drama queen again.
I suddenly felt a nudge on my right and looked to see Mikaela glaring at me as she moved her gaze to the tracking device. I swallowed in my breath. Opps. It seems that my tracking chip has caught the attention of my peers, now eyes were on me. I mentally rolled my eyes as Mr.Sunny scolded me. But I was glad when he dropped it at that and didn't ask as to why I had a tracking chip.
"Bookworm, why in the world do you have a tracking chip?" Brittany asked, her voice laced with disgust.
I ignored her and turned the beeping off, and was just about to leave when she made another remark. Oh that little snob.
"It's not like anyone would care if you were gone!"
I turned on my heel to face the queen bee. My hand would fit perfectly to her face, just a little more confidence and I'd smack that smirk off of that slut's face.
"Bitch please, you jealous cause I'm valued. I'm just like what gold is to your parents, valued. Too bad you ain't their gold." I replied. I may have just hit the spot. You see, our queen bee hate her parents, and her parents hate her too. But you couldn't blame them, after all the love they gave to the girl they had enough of her and just gave all of their love to gold. She has a sad life, but she chose that path.
Everyone had gone silent. Shock covered their faces as they stared at me. I seriously need to stop attracting attention.
Feeling awkwardly uncomfortable under their gaze I backed away from the crowd and walked away following Mr.Sunny as he lead us in to the jungle.
And all through our walk into the Jungle I could hear people discussing what had happened earlier, they were really interested. Heck, they even gave the little incident a title, "Queen Nerd vs. Queen Bee". Of course the Queen Nerd won.

A/N. Omg, I actually wrote a chapter 2. I think I deserve an applause, haha!
