They stood in front of his bed, watching his laboured breathing. His large chest moving up and down slowly. He was only in a minor coma. The doctor advised them not to be loud, as extreme shock could wake him up before he was due to. Which could cause him brain damage. Iris merely nodded, though inside she was laughing.
"I will leave you alone. You are the only visitors to be put through to him, I know you were friends. You were the only other leaders that decided to visit him." He patted Iris' shoulder. She tried not to cringe from his touch, watching him closely as he left the room.
She took Edward's hand and squeezed it. The signal for him to disable the CCTV cameras. He reached in his pocket and pressed the detonator. All at once the cameras shut off. Unnoticed by any of the staff in the rubbish hospital. She quickly unpacked the body bag from her handbag, she walked over to the bed. Reaching out to grab him. Suddenly a hand grasped her shoulder, she whipped round. glaring at Edwards scared face.
"Are you sure this is right?" The terrified look stayed on his face. Weak, she thought. A hiss escaped her throat, what was wrong with him? He was a human. Thats what was wrong. He felt guilt, he sickened her. he was just like the rest all along.
"You disgust me." She spat, she was angry, ready to kill. He choose the wrong moment to betray her, his fate lay in her devilish hands.
"Its-Its just a bit ssudden... to, you know, kill him. Maybe we should let him recover... then do this in a different way..." His voice trailed off as he noticed the look of pure hatred on her face.
In a swift movement she pinned him against the wall. Restricting his breathing. His face slowly went white, gurgling noises came out of his throat. He tried to push her off, but her inhuman strength was no match for him. She let go and he slumped to the grime covered floor. Trying to breath, his hands clutched at the dirty walls. Trying to heave himself up, though his balance was gone.
She took this moment tto grab the head leader in her extremely strong arms. Shoving him roughly into the body bag. She left his body floating in mid air, suspended over the disgusting floor.
She looked back over at Edward, weak and puny. Curled up in the corner. Time to dispose of him.
Walking calmy back she withdrew a sharp knife from her bag. The blade glinted menacingly in the poor light. The sharp end pointed teasingly at his face. He gulped down his fears, trying to put on a brave face as his fiancee stood before him. This was not how her plan was meant to go, but now it was happening she didn't really mind. He was just another object to remove from her path.
"Now lets get this over with quickly, no screaming, no crying. Your not a baby, are you?" She stroked the blade down his face and he shook his head slighty at her question. In one quick movement she created a gash that ran down his face to his chin. He bit down hard as he forced himself to stay calm. Blood started to gush out like a red waterfall cascading down his pale face.
"Good boy, now lets finish you. Just like you finished your mother all those years ago." She taunted joyfully. A grin spreading wickedly across her face.
He felt one tear slip down his face. It slid over the papery skin and down his long nose. His breath was quick and hoarse. he braced himself for her next actions. Gripping onto the stained floor tiles and squeezing his eyelids shut.
She took the chance. Raising the knife above her beautiful face, she plunged it straight into his neck. It sliced through like butter, the blood flowing freely. he was already dead. The warmth of his body starting to fade.
"You were nearly perfect. But not close enough." She bent forward, kissing his bloody forhead for the last time. She grabbed the body bag and exited quickly. Rushing through corridors, a blur to anyone who would pass her. She left unnoticed, she knew it was stupid. Stupid to leave the body. She was the only suspect in this. She was the only possible culprit. It was selfishness, selfishness made her lax. She wanted to torture the head leader, needed to. It would be her last contribution to wrecking this planet.
She hoped that she would get this one last gift before the whole world figured out who she truly was.
