Part 2 The High Priest and Garroth's Brother?

Garroth's POV 

Zane had this look on his face my father Lord Garte would make... I found it threatening but, I know better Zane's is simply just father's Messenger. I thought to myself. Before I could even let Zane say a word, I asked him a stupid  question already knowing why he is here but he came for me especially....

"Why are you here shouldn't you be in O'kasis with father? I asked. 

Zane stared at me with a devilish smirk on his face. "Why do you ask can't I simply pay my brother a visit after all you did fake your own death I didn't think you would actually be here..."he laughs.

"Zane I know exactly why your here....but how did you know I'd be here?.."

"father has been tracking you down by someone that's loyal to me and that I hired to check on my brother...hehehe....Father wants you in O'kasis. You have within 3 days to make your decision, normally I would take you but, Father said if you wouldn't there would be consequence's...." He smiled again with the same look on his face and laughed.

Aphmau stood there confused starring at me. I was speechless I didn't know what to say...I mean being forced to marry is not what I want...but If I don't... What could Zane possibly do he is just Father's messenger.

Zane walked toward Aphmau." Well hello there Lady...." Zane was interrupted by Aphmau. "Its Aphmau..."She said smiling.

"It's nice to meet you Lady Aphmau.. I'm sure you know my name by now but I'll introduce myself anyway, My name is Zane the High Priest. He holds out his hand to Aphmau to greet her. She accepts his hand and shakes it.

"Pleasure to meet you...."

"What shocked Garroth has a brother?"

"Well yeah, especially you of all people Garroth never really opened up to me about family we usually just talk about trades and village matters.."she said.

"I'll be setting in on one of your houses tonight if you don't mind and come to me if you want to know more about "Your guard" he said sarcastically and with the smirk on his face I hated. Zane walked off with his 2 guards. Leaving me here to talk to Aphmau.

Aphmau turned her attention toward me. We gazed into each others eyes....Her beautiful brown eyes I saw clearly in the moon light....I smiled at her. She smiled back, and asked "Garroth what was he talking about and why didn't you tell me you had family...

I looked at her and slightly frowned. "I'm sorry I just didn't think it was important nor did I think it would affect anyone...." she patted me on the back and smiled at me. I smiled back.

Just then Laurence came walking toward us.

"hey Garroth.. then then turned to Aphmau and said, "hey my love." he smiled.

I never enjoyed Laurence flirting with Aphmau however ever since Laurence moved into and got a position as guard here in Phoenix Drop, we grew closer as brother's and we agreed who ever gets her hand first as in to ask her out we wouldn't let that come between our bond between each other.
