Dear Reader,
Flicker Pain is my concept of depression, based off my own experiences with it. There were days when I felt like everything was perfect and going well for me, while others I felt like I would crash and burn.
My depression was like a light switch: flicked either on or off.
Depression should be treated in every form, whether it be mild, moderate, or severe. You shouldn't have to be afraid to approach someone. You shouldn't have to be scared of what people think of you.
But we are, because of the way it's represented in society. So, I'm here to show you the type of depression I, myself, have experienced, where it is like a constant flickering light, along with the type my friend has experienced, where he was constantly angry and felt as though no one was there for him, and that he could truly trust no one.
Like my other stories, the theme will be dark, and well — depressing. And the chapters will be short. So, if you don't want to read it, I completely understand.
I hope to see you all soon and I hope you enjoy this novella!
xoxo,
twyla
