Beta Brad's POV:

(I carry her up the stairs, into the bedroom, shutting the door behind me with my foot. I lift her higher, wrapping her legs tighter around my waist. She kisses my neck and along my jaw. I grab her butt, squeezing, causing a moan to escape her lips.

I lay her on the bed and remove all my clothes. Then I grin at her, sliding her sexy, strapless dress down her body, leaving her in nothing but her black bra and see through underwear.

I moan and climb in between her long legs, grazing my fingers lightly over them. She shivers underneath my touch. I lightly kiss her full lips before I undo her bra. I kiss along her jaw and down her neck. Then I kiss in between her boobs. She starts running her hands through my hair.

I ran my hand down her small waist until they reached the outline of her underwear. I look up at her to see she has her eyes closed. I slide them off lightly and my eyes grew wide. I rub it and she hisses. Then I start kissing it. She moans loudly, ringing my ears. This was just too good to be true....)

I sat up in my bed, rubbing the back of my neck before I take a long shower. When I got out, I put some clothes on. Then I made me some toast when I heard a howl and Ray mind links me saying there is a rogue attack at the border and that I should gather up the pack. I rang the emergency bell and mind linked everyone before running out the house, shifting into my big wolf.

When I got there already half my pack was there, some of them getting beat down. I charged towards one, easily snapping and biting its neck before it drops dead. Then a sweet smell filled my senses and it led into the woods. So I followed it.

I visited the site where we keep extra clothes, shifting back. I followed the sent of vallina and strawberries, it lead me to a blonde hair girl who was about 5'7. My eyes grew wide and she sensed me and then we just started staring at each other.

My wolf cried at her beauty. Everything about her screamed beauty. Her big eyes to her small waist to her pouty lips. Then my wolf rang in my ears 'MATE!'. I snapped out of my trance and slowly walked up to her. I started circling her, taking her in.

She stiffened and her eyes grew wide as she stood like a toothpick. I stopped behind her, wrapping my arms around her body. She softened a little at my touch.

"What's you name?", I whispered in her ear, sending shivers down he spine.

She started shaking, tongue twisted.

"Ummm....", she bawled, then something flickered in her eyes as I turned to face her.

She straightened herself out.

"I'm Alpha Skylar Blake.... And you are?", she rolled her eyes at me.

That kind of hurt. I smirked and pulled her body to me so we were face to face. I just met her and she is already putting a spell on me.

"I'm the Beta of the Blue Moon pack. Brad Mason.", I looked deeply in her eyes.

I saw pain and sorrow for some reason. I wanted to help get through whatever she was going through. I leaned in and started kissing her neck. Something sparked through me and I realized she was the girl in my dreams. The one I was destined to be with forever. It hurt and felt good to find the one that holds the other half of my heart. I was searching all this time for her and this war brought me to her. The love of my life.

She shoves me away unexpectedly and I stumble back but I managed to stay on my feet.

"Just cause your my mate and I'm yours doesn't mean we are destined to be together forever. That is bullshit! I'm not going to fall in love. I have other problems to deal with. My heart was already broken enough. The only reason I'm here is because I'm the Alpha of those rogues killing your pack. Your father took something away from me that I can never get back. Understand lover boy?!!", she hissed, folding her arms across her chest.

I growled. I challenged her back by folding my arms across my chest.

I shifted into my wolf and tackled her. Growling, she shifted into this big, white wolf almost about my size. We growled at each other. She bit my neck causing pain to seep through my neck and heart. How could my own mate bite me and say she's never going to fall in love again? I tumbled back and she pinned me down, her wolf crushing mine. I whimpered. I may be the Beta of the second strongest pack, but I have a heart and right now, my heart was going through mixed emotions. Hurt mixed with hate mixed with love and sorrow.

She shifted back, put her clothes back on, and put on her shoes , walking deeper into the woods. I wanted to run after her and beg her to be my mate. For a man, I sure felt like a little girl. I felt betrayed and full of lost love.

I shifted back and put my clothes on and walked out the woods. I mind linked the head nurse and doctor to help the wounded and I went to my room, climbing under the sheets, shielding my feeling for her away. I know she will never come back.
