Chapter 5: Confessions

Alpha Brad's POV:

(I run up to Skylar as she lays unconscious on the pack house floor. Shattered glass is stuck in the carpet and a few pieces manage to attack her head. A few tears fall from my eyes as I stare at the girl who was finally starting to trust me.

I attack Selena for hurting my mate, the other half of me. My heart has a spasm from the hurt. It feels like someone is stabbing and squeezing my heart till I can't breathe any more.

Selena yells at me for how much pain she has caused this pack and to her. I practically choke her until Jose comes up and gets me to let go of her. I watch as Mrs. Michaels and Jose lift her up and carry her to the pack hospital.

I follow them and when we get there, they tell me to stay back because they have to do surgery. I start to yell at the nurse as she holds me back from attacking the doctor.)

A shooting pain goes through my neck and body and stopped right at my heart. It's felt like its trying to pump out my chest. My hearts was beating so fast. I stiffened my body and stretched my neck out to ease the pain.

I looked up at Skylar while I sat in the chair right next to her. Taking her hand and closing my eyes, I let out a sigh.

"I can't loose you. I've already lost enough.... The only family I had left was my brother and the pack. But you took my only real family away and I forgave you because I know deep down you only did that for revenge on my father. But it hurt when I lost my brother but you turned out to be my mate and everything changed about you. And I also know that deep down you want to break out of that deep hole in your heart and become that loving girl you want to be. Losing you will be hell. As I said before, your my other half, the other half of my heart, the one that fills the other side of my bed. All I can think about is you. You.... You.... You.... And without you, I don't know what pain and heart ache I would go through. I love you and I know that deep down you can say I love you back, one day.", I rumbled off to her.

I kissed her hand and her forehead then her lips. Those sweet lips I'm gonna miss if I lose her. I couldn't lose her, after all we've been through. I wanted her to be my wife, the Luna, my mate, the mother of my children. All those feelings rushed through as I thought of the future that would vanish if I lost her.

I walked out the room and went home to shower and sleep.

Alpha Skylar's POV:

When I woke up, it was dark expect for the faint glow of the light coming through the blinds. All I remember is some girl yelling and cursing to me about how I bought so much pain to her and the pack.

I pressed the panic button on the bed and immediately a nurse came in. She turned the light on, making my eyes burn.

"Good afternoon Alpha Skylar!", she said, a smile plastered on her face.

"Alpha? What are you talking about?!", I said back, rubbing the side of my head.

"Yes! Alpha Skylar Blake, retireing Alpha of the Green Wood pack, former Alpha of the Dark Forest pack and future Luna of the Blue Moon pack.", she informed me.

"Can you tell me exactly what happened?"

"From what I heard, Alpha Brad, your mate, brought you to the Blue Moon pack house to show you around and Selena, the retiring Alpha's mate, beat you down and Mrs. Michaels and Selena's brother, Jose, brought you here!"

"Who's Alpha Brad?"

"He's the new Alpha, your mate. I think the reason your here is because Selena attacked you because you killed the Alpha who was her mate, Alpha Jake, the new Alpha's brother."

Confusion was written all over my face. I told her can I speak to the head doctor and the Alpha.

I met the head doctor, Mrs. Michaels, and the Alpha. I'm guessing he's my mate. He handsome but I don't see us being together. I don't remember any of the stuff they were telling me.

After that, the Alpha asked if he could talk to me.

"Alpha.", I said, informing him to speak.

"Look, I know you may not remember but we are mates and I'm the Alpha. I was hoping you would be the future Luna but from the looks of it, you don't remember a thing. Do you remember me?", he asked.

I looked down and shook my head no. I met his eyes and he took my hand in his. I felt sparks and tingles go through my body, but I still don't get it. I don't remember a thing.

His eyes widened and so did mine, but I looked down and pried my hands from his. I folded my hands in my lap and he turned his back to me.

"I don't know how to get you to remember me...", he whispered.

I could sense the hurt and sorrow in his voice. He walked out the room and I laid back on the hospital bed.

Those sparks that ran through my body triggered something in my mind but I can't put my finger on it. It's something about him that's familiar but at the same time, I feel like he's a complete stranger.
