Jason's pov

I jumped and Nick grabbed my hands and pulled me up. "Thanks" I said out of breath. "No problem now how do we get out of here" he asked. "It's almost an inch of steaming water" Alexandra said. "We make a run for it" I said.

"But what if we can't run and where would we run too" Vanessa whined. "My car is just on the other side I'm sure we can make" I said. "The whole field without burning ourselves" Nick shouted. "Worth a try do you have a better plan" I shouted. They were silent.

"Ok then let's go before the water gets any higher" I said. "Jason I'm staying and so is Nick" Vanessa held Nick's hand. "Well I'm coming" Alexandra said. "Ok we are going to make a break for it" I said "3.....2.......1!" We ran as fast as we could towards the gates. "Jason I don't think we can make it go to the other bleachers" Alexandra shouted. "Your right we will have to jump from there" I said. We ran up to the top of the bleachers. "Jump we are jumping" Alexandra said in shock. "I'll go first then you jump down to me" I said. "Well we better hurry the water is starting to spread out of the field" she said.

No hesitation I jumped. "Crap that hurt" I twisted my ankle when I landed. "Jason I'm coming down" Alexandra shouted. "No wait" too late she jumped start for me. I gained balance and somewhat caught her but then I fell to the ground. "Come on Jason where's your car" she stood up. "The bronze jeep" I said struggling to stand up. She pulled me up and pulled me to my car. "My keys where are my keys" I tried finding my keys. "If you can find them any day now that would be great" she said.

"Found them" I shouted opening the car. We got in the car, started the engine and drove off. "Nice jeep" she said. "Thanks my-" don't tell the details. "Where did you get it" she loves questions doesn't she. "It was my grandfathers" I said. "Cool" she said. We rode the rest of the way in silence. "Third house on the right" she said. "How about we go to the park" I said. "Why?" I asked. "There's a meteor shower tonight" I smiled. "Ok I'll need to borrow up you phone mine is still at school" she smiled back. "Well we can just go......." I stopped myself from going any further.

"There you go now can I use your phone" she giggled a little. I handed her my phone. "Hey Mom I'm going to the park with a friend..... ya I'll be home by 9-10ish...... there's a meteor shower tonight.... bye" she handed my phone back.

We talked and talked about everything. When we got to the park we found the perfect spot a clear opening by the swing set. It started getting dark. "It should start any minute now" I said. "You know your such a nice guy I don't know why Vanessa would waste you" Alexandra smiled. "Thanks I don't know why guys don't flip over you" I said.

"Why would that happen" she asked. "Your beautiful sweet kind and daring" I said. "Really I would never guess" she said. I leaned closer to her. "Jason look there's one" she pointed up. "Wow it's looks so close" as it kept falling I realized that it was coming start for us. "Alexandra get up we have to go" I pulled as she watches the meteor come start down.

"Jason no it just started" she said. "Unless you want to die I suggest you get in the car" I yelled. Alexandra got in the car and we drove off. Once I get a few blocks away I hear a big explosion from the woods near my house. "Is this your street?" I asked worriedly. "Ya just turn here" she said. I dropped her off and hurried home.

I pulled in the driveway and my mom was waiting. "Jason where have you been I was so worried you got struck by the meteor" she hugged me tight. "I'm fine mom" I went inside to see the backyard. We were the last house on the block the rest was woods. All I could see was a few trees on fire.

I calmed down a little nothing major happened.
