The Traitor (A Star Trek Fanfic)

I laughed and walked down the hall on Enterprise to go to the bridge. The hand in mine was my boyfriend, and Captain of the ship, James Tiberius Kirk.

"I'm just saying, you don't piss Spock off."

"I believe you." I leaned into his shoulder as the door to the bridge opened and we walked in.

I was a commander on the ship, worked alongside my new friend, Nyota Uhura. She and everyone else on the ship, including Spock, told me that I shouldn't get involved with Kirk. He's a womanizer and will break my heart. Well I wasn't too sure about that. When we were together in private we talked. Talked about anything and everything and I understood every little bit of him, every little thing he did. He told me not to tell the crew, he liked how they always questioned his decisions. I never told them.

Spock walked in carrying a pad and was poking around on it. "Captain, we have a new member that was assigned. Here are her credentials." He handed the pad to Kirk for him to look over.

"Very impressive Miss Carol Marcus. welcome to Enterprise." He shook the blonde girl's hand and handed the pad back to Spock.

"Thank you, Mr. Kirk." She said with a glittering smile and those eyes that you can tell were suspicious. She looked at him like he was eye candy (which he was) and something to eat.

I narrowed my eyes at her and Uhura tapped her arm against mine.

"Don't freak. It will be fine. See? He's showing no interest. That's good."

"Yeah, I guess you're right."

"Good. Now, help me set up coordinates and all that other jazz." She walked to her station and started to punch stuff in.

I walked over to the board next to her and did the same.

"Okay. We're good." I told her and walked back to Kirk.

"Hey sweetie." He said and pulled me down in his lap. "We ready?"

"Yup. Everything is good."

"Good." He kissed my cheek then looked at Sulu. "Punch it!"

Sulu pushed the lever down and we went warp.
