I wrapped my arms around Kirk that night and held him close. My eye was a little sore but he was careful not to touch it.

He kissed the marks on my neck, telling me they would get better soon.

"I'm so sorry." He squeezed me.

I buried my face into him. "It's not your fault."

He kissed my head. "I could have lost you."

"But you didn't, and that's all that matters."

"Yeah. I guess you're right."

I snuggled into him. I made sure I laid on the good side of my face. I kept my black eye up so it didn't hurt as much.

He brushed the hair away from my face and lightly rubbed my bruise. He tilted my head up and gave me a light kiss.

"I love you." He told me.

I looked him in the eye. "I love you too." I snuggled back into him.

Khan smashed his hand through a door. He just found out about Carol's death and who had caused it. There was no way he could get Kirk now.

"I can't find anyone else! She was my best bet!"

He paced back and forth in the bridge of his ship. He punched a few other things, breaking them.

"I'll have to go in myself now." He scowled and sat in his captain's chair. "And I'll kill ANYONE who gets in my way of Captain Kirk."

He pushed a few buttons and the ship went warp.
