Chapter 7 - Promotion

Beams of the sun peeked over the horizon, allowing the light seep around the buildings and slowly wake everyone to a brand new morning. However, Sunggyu was already up and finishing up tying his tie as the sun streamed through the slats of his blinds, casting shadows onto the ground of his hotel room.

Walking out the front door, he slipped the keys into his pocket and made his way down to his parked car. Slipping behind the wheel, he headed off to work as he trying to be a little early for the presentation he had set up for the Intern Meeting. Finding a parking spot, he parked his car and gathered his things before exiting the car and locking it as he headed inside.

The clicking of his shoes was the only sound through the empty hallways while he made his way to the Intern Meeting. Slipping through the open door, unggyu found a seat amongst the few other early risers that managed to be there a little earlier as well. Looking over his presentation, Sunggyu pulled at his tie a little before he took a deep breath letting his mind relax and think of Iris which made a smile settle on his lips.

A while later, everyone was seated as the head of the intern department stood up behind the podium. With a little welcome speech and a few presentations later, Sunggyu was up. Taking his spot, Sunggyu pulled up the presentation on the projector that both of them presented the day before. The program loaded as he scanned the faces in the audience, trying to find Ha Ni in the crowd.

"My name is Kim Sunggyu and I was in the Design Division. I worked alongside CEO Lee Ha Ni for this project." Sunggyu started as his eyes snapped up to see the door open at the top of the stirs. Ha Ni form appeared as she closed the door quietly behind before finding an open seat and nodding to Sunggyu with a smile.

Sunggyu continued on with his presentation, a smile was prominent on his lips as he seemed to have confidence spilling from his well suited form. Watching Sunggyu speak with confidence and passion, she admired him from afar, finding herself falling for him a little more and more as the time passed.

"Thank you.." Sunggyu finished, bowed to the group as they all clapped while he made his way up to the spot next to Ha Ni.

"Nicely done..." Ha Ni leaned over and whispered to him.

"Thank you, Ha Ni .." Sunggyu whispered back. Leaning back in his chair a little as he unbuttoned his suit coat, "I am glad you came.. I was a little worried that you wouldn't show up.." Sunggyu admits quietly.

" Well, I gave you my word. Didn't I?" Ha Ni smile at him as she drop her head a little.

"A-Are we still on for tonight?" Sunggyu whispers gently and leaned in towards Ha Ni's head.

"Hmm.." Ha Ni hummed with a nod. A happy grin curled on Sunggyu lips as the two of them turned their attention back to the presenters that was talking about the mail room and the front desk, menial jobs that interns typically did.

"Thank you everyone for all of their hard work and for the presentations we saw today. I wish you all a happy trip back to your home of residence and good luck in your futures." The manager says with a smile. Everyone was soon dismissed as the manager tapped the microphone a little, "Kim Sunggyu, can you please see me up here?"

"Yes sir!!" Sunggyu called loudly so the manager could hear him.

"Sunggyu, I'll be waiting for you outside then.." Ha Ni smiled and walked past him as he made his way down to where the manager was standing.

Closing the door behind, Ha Ni checked her phone and caught up on necessary things while she waited for Sunggyu..

Meanwhile, Sunggyu stood in front of the manager.

"Your presentation was really something and I have heard a wonderful review of you from Ms. Ha Ni . I would like to personally offer you a position in our company. We offer one intern in the whole group a job and we all decided you should be the one we offer it to. How about that?" The manager smiles as he hands over a folder with the offer inside.

"May I have some time to think about it, sir?" Sunggyu questions looking down at the folder in his hands.

"Of course, you may but we would like to hear about your decision by tomorrow though.." The manager bowed and walked around him heading out of the room.

"Thank you, sir. I will have an answer for you by tomorrow.." Sunggyu bowed and nodded before glancing over the offer he held in his hands.
