Chapter 3: Co-worker

Unlocking the car, Ha Ni watched the front lights flash with life as Sunggyu quickly walked over to driver door and opened it for her.

"A-Ah, thank you..." Ha Ni bowed to him and slipped into the driver seat as he walked around to the passenger side of the car.

Watching Sunggyu a moment, he buckled himself in as Ha Ni wondered if it was just a business gesture or it he was showing a little side to himself. Turning on the car, Ha Ni shook those thoughts out of her mind before she drove out of the parking garage. Passing empty space after empty space, Ha Ni glanced down at the clock as she sighed seeing four digits on the dash.

"Where do you live Sunggyu?" Ha Ni asked, not knowing where she should turn.

"Just the HK Hotel.." Sunggyu replied as he gave her directions all the way up until she pulled next to the curb.

"Thank you so much for the ride home... I won't expect you to give me a ride everyday. I will make sure I am not late for my bus.." Sunggyu smiled at her before unbuckling himself.

"Well... If you need to contact me, here is my card."

Ha Ni handed her business card to Sunggyu as he bowed lightly and slipped out of the car. Closing the door gently behind him, Sunggyu waved to her before walking inside.

Making sure Sunggyu got in okay, Ha Ni waited outside of the hotel once she saw him slip into an elevator, then she pulled out onto the street and headed home.

Sunggyu stood in the elevator as the soft music started to lull him to sleep. A ding alerted him of his floor as he stepped out and shuffled down the long hallway to his door. Sliding the card key into the handle of the door, he pushed the door open once it unlocked. Peeling off the jacket of his shoulders, he pushed the door closed and hung up the jacket nicely. Ha Ni's card stuck out from his inside pocket as he took it out and admired the simple yet elegant design on the card.

Taking out his phone, Sunggyu entered Ha Ni's number into his phone and added it to the contacts. Sunggyu's phone worked on his request for a moment as his phone pulled up the number seeing that he had already used that number once.

"That's odd..."

Sunggyu mumbled to himself. Sunggyu clicked on the call log, seeing the date and time that he called the 'mysterious' number. Laying on the bed, Sunggyu thought back to that day as his eyes widened, discovering that he called Ha Ni instead of Hoya.

Sunggyu running his fingers through his hair, groaned as he rolled onto the bed. Looking up Hoya's number and comparing it to Ha Ni's, Sunggyu noticed the last number was different.

"That one number, jeez.." Sunggyu growled and gumbled under his breath. Pulling his tie, hung it up and shuffled to the shower after plugging in his phone. Sunggyu wondering if Ha Ni knew that was her first encounter or impression of him.

"You're home, late today.." Hoya called loudly from his spot on the couch, popping another kernel of popcorn into his mouth.

"I just got lost in my work I guess.." Ha Ni hung up her purse after she closed the door quietly behind. Slipping off her heels, Ha Ni padded into the kitchen and pulled out some instant Ramen to eat for the night.
