Chapter 10 - An Unexpected Visitor
The sun shone brightly the next day. A beautiful hue of blue hung in the sky creating a breathtaking morning, yet Ha Ni weren’t feeling quite as happy as she usually were. Dressing in a simple pastel polo shirt, Ha Ni pulled on a black pencil skirt and slipped into some black heels. Keeping her hair down for the day, Ha Ni grabbed her phone and purse and headed off to the office.
Once Ha Ni entered into her office, placed the purse in its place as Ha Ni got to work on the paperwork that was waiting on the desk. Time does moved slowly as she kept looking up at the clock, seeing it’s only a half an hour from the moment she’s starting her work on the paperwork. Ha Ni sighed softly, ruffling her hair lightly before a soft knock came from outside her office door.
After Ha Ni finished writing the word she were on, she lifted her eyes to the light colored door open, revealing just the man she’s been thinking, the man she wished to see.
“S-Sunggyu?“ Ha Ni questioned, standing up abruptly onto her feet while her hands stayed on the desk to try and keep balancing her while she’s on that wobbly knees.
“Ha Ni ...” Sunggyu smiled, slowly closing the door behind him as he stepped towards Iris.
“W-What are you doing here?” Ha Ni started to walk slowly around her desk, keeping her eyes on him to make sure he didn’t leave her sight, to prove that she’s not dreaming.
“I had a little business matter to attend to..” Sunggyu smiled brightly as Ha Ni walked up to him, trotting a few steps before she wrapped her arms around him.
Sunggyu step back slightly, then wrapped his arms around Ha Ni and pulled her against him tightly.
“I had something to tell you..” Ha Ni pulled away from him, to look up into Sunggyu’s beautiful eyes once more.
“Hmm? What would that be?” Sunggyu asked, as he let his hands resting on her, rubbing the small of Ha Ni's back lightly.
“I like you too, and I miss you...” Ha Ni confessed. Her eyes stayed on him while Sunggyu’s eyes dropped, his smile widened showing his pearly white teeth.
A knock was heard on the door. Upon hearing that knock, they quickly pulled away from the hug and stood by one another as Ha Ni's manager stood in the doorway of her office.
“Oh? Good, the two of you are here!” He closed the door behind him. Ha Ni looked at Sunggyu, wondering if he had any idea of what was about to happen. “Ms. Ha Ni , I would like to introduce you to the newest member of your team. Kim Sunggyu..”
“I-I thought he was leaving like all of the other interns?” Ha Ni questioned, falling a little speechless at the news.
“Well, he produced perfect results and we couldn’t allow this intern to slip through our fingers. Since you put in such a moving report of him, we thought who better to train him than the best in the company..” the manager smiled and bowed to Ha Ni . “I will have a new project for you two in a week or two. So don’t disappoint me, you two..”
“Thank you, sir!!” both Sunggyu and Ha Ni replied in unison while bowing as the manager left their shared office.
