When Raven arrived home, her mom was in the middle of what looked like cooking, and her dad was in the living room deeply focused On a football game.

" hi raviewavie!" Her dad called not taking his eyes off the tv screen. She hated that nickname and had asked to stop for years but ended up just excepting it.

" hi mom hi dad." Raven said." We got a call from the school," her mother said turning around wiping her hands on a towel. Her mother confirmed her fears when she asked " why were you in the gym?"

"I...um.." She new it would be best to tell the truth so..." I was having really bad back pains again and just needed to go somewhere quiet." She said staring at her feet.

Her mom let out a sigh " sweetie you know your suppose to go to the healing centre and give us a call when your having back aches remember?"

"Sorry" Raven mumbled suddenly realizing the cold and harsh tone of her mother. " honey I'm sorry I just need to know when these things happen ok?" " ok " Raven said finally looking up from her feet.

She was pulled into a tight hug by her mother and soon her father too. " so... Tell me about this boy you met today" her mother said with a evil smirk on her face.

Raven rolled her eyes at her mother and said " well his name was Thaddeus an..."

"Wait huh? That's a very rare name I've never heard it before... Sorry! Carry on" her dad said suddenly realizing that he interrupted.

"Anyways  he introduced himself then I introduced myself, then all of a sudden he sprang into the air hitting his head in the bleacher bars and fell to the floor passed out. And that's really all I know about him."

Her parents both stared at her with confused  expressions. "Oh ok well find out how the boy is doing tomorrow will you? Thanks" her mother added as Raven shook her head in agreement.

As she lay in bed that night she really didn't want to have to talk to the strange boy again. Or maybe she didn't need to talk to him to see if he was ok, and she would probably end up just talking to Dave instead.

As Raven headed to school the next morning, she felt a loud gust of wind coming from behind her.

She turned around to see a smiling Thaddeus. She ignored his wave as she said " how long have you been standing there?"

Thaddeus pulled up his blue shirt sleeve revealing a watch. "About three seconds, but including our little conversations about thirty seconds." He flashed her a grin, she rolled her eyes.

"So about our talk yesterday" he said stepping closer to her. Raven just remembered how weak he was yesterday. " how did you heal so quickly?" She questioned.

" well you see Raven I don't know how to tell you this but... we're not human."

Right on cue Raven burst out into a fit of laughter as she turned to walk away. "Man are you insane, and jeez I was even crazier talking to you." She said shaking her head while walking away.

" Raven wait!" He called. She really didn't want to talk to him, but the plea in his voice made her turn around.

"Raven you have to believe me!" He said stepping holding out his hands as if she was some sort of wild animal. "Ok then, what am I? Part gazell part rat?" She asked with a very sarcastic tone.

"no your angel."

She froze as she looked at him, searching for some sign he wasn't serious. " still don't believe me do you?" He asked. She shook her head, " well then I'll prove it."

He looked all around making sure no one was around. Then all of a sudden a pair of beautiful Snow White wings raised behind him.

Ravens mouth fell with surprise. "will you come with me? It won't be long." He held out his hand. Raven reluctantly took it, regretting it when they shot up into the air.

Naturally she clung to the closest thing around her. Embarrassingly it was Thaddeus's arm. She shut her eyes as she realized how far off the ground they were. All of a sudden a blanket of warmth spread over her as a bright light flashed them into a tube of light.

The tube cracked open and shot them out. Thaddeus stopped them just before hitting the ground with a big flap of his majestic wings.

"Is this enough proof for you?" Thaddeus asked gesturing to the huge golden gates in the clouds marked Heaven.
