Heaven or the underworld

Chapter 3

"WhowhatwhwhenwhereHOW?" She mumbled staring at the gates. "Let me help you out.

How we flew into the sky getting enough speed to catch a light string that took us here. Who well I took you here, but this is were all the angels live.

And down deep in the earth is were the rejects live called archangels. Angels arch enemies, they get there by family blood or breaking laws here.

When well ya know sorta right now. Where as you probably figured out already we are at the gates of heaven in the clouds to be exact. Ok so get it now?" He finished.

Raven couldn't believe what just happened. She barely managed a nod and added " well if I'm an angel were are my wings?" She asked frowning.

"To be honest I'm not sure, when angels are born a second after they grow their wings... Painless" he added as he saw the grim expression on Raven face.

"But arch angels they grow their wings when their around your age. Painful so painful. I've seen it once a arch angel growing their wings poor thing, their wings grow in their back till they rip through your back and ca-pow you have wings. Not a fun thing to watch.

" so will I get wings?" She asked finally taking her eyes off the gates and at Thaddeus. "I'm not sure I'll chek with my dad but I'm sure you will." He said reassuringly. "One other thing... I'm really sorry but... You can't stay with your family anymore."he said looking at his feet."WHAT?! Why not?" She asked taking a step away from him."you need to come join us... This is were you belong Raven, up here with the other angels learning what we know doing stuff how we do it." He said finally looking up from his feet."I...I just can't leave..."
Raven said suddenly feeling quit light headed. "I'm sorry but it has to happen, as for your family we will let you say goodbye, then we erase their memory and your existence to the whole human world." He said returning to looking at his feet. Raven reluctantly shook her head in an ok sign. She hated everything he just said but deep down she new she belong their and she new it be better for her and her family so with that she was off with Thaddeus to say goodbye.

As she arrived home her mom was surprised to find her 1 hour earlier then usual. " hey sweetie what's up?" Her mom asked as Raven entered the room. Just thinking that this would be the last time she would ever talk to her made her want to hug her and never let go. "Nothin I just" she was searching for a good lie, but instead she decided to tell her half the truth of why she was there.

" I just need a hug" she stated truthfully. "Ok then " her mother said approaching her, "sweetie I don't know what happened at school but you can't come home just for a hug." She said as she rapped Raven in a tight hug."I know and it will be the last time I will." She said feeling like crying knowing all of it was true.

" well I just wanted to say I love you so much and tell dad I love him too when he gets home please." She said still hugging her mom."love you too sweetie but you need to get back to school." She said pulling out of the hug."ok let me go grab the homework I forgot." She said heading up stairs.

She gathered all the things she thought she would like when she finally moved to heaven, it felt weird saying that like she was preparing to die. She almost screamed when she noticed Thaddeus outside her window gesturing her to come outside. Raven mouthed one second and strapped the bag over her shoulder filled with: her scrapbook of her and her family and friends, her teddy mr. T, and her notebook and a pen.

She waved at her mom as casually as possible but as soon as she stepped outside her heat sunk and she burst into tears. She managed to walk to the grass before falling down on her knees covering her face as a stream of sobs followed along. "It's gonna be ok Raven." It took her a second to realize Thaddeus was their with her. She started to try and stand up but just fell back down. Thaddeus pulled her close in a hug letting her cry on his shoulder. She stayed there a bit, she had never had a friend... Was he her friend? She stood up and said " I'm ready to go, wiping her tears off her cheek and headed with Thaddeus to a dark ally way were they could go back to heaven without being seen. " I'm really sorry we're putting you through this." Thaddeus said as he noticed the tear slidding down her cheek."what now?" She asked, "well I'm guessing you move in with a adoptive family then you start school and live our lives except one small detail" he said all of a sudden looking back down at his shoes."what?" She asked after he wouldn't continue."well you should probably have the council talk to you about it I'm technically not suppose to know but my dad finds out almost everything that goes on with the council." He explained. "Oh um ok" she said taking a deep breath. What did he mean not suppose to know? " well we better get going before someone sees us."he said looking around. She took a shaky breath before saying "alright."
