Chapter 4

Raven held onto Thaddeus's arm tight as they shot into the air by the big Snow White majestic wings on his back.

For an angel she expected more fancier clothing, well he probably didn't want to make a statement when he was trying to stay under the radar.

They didn't seem to be going as fast as last time, so she was able to ask " do you have family?" Regretting be words as she remembered him talking about his dad earlier.

He didn't seem bothered by the question at all though."I have my mother Valentina my dad Nixon and my younger sister Pandora." He said staring up at the sky.

"How old is your sister?" She questioned.
"Thirteen" he answered, " I think you'll like her... You can do all that weird girly stuff." He told her grinning.

She was dreading asking this next question knowing he would laugh but she was too curious to care." So do angels have like... Superpowers?" She asked blushing hard when he laughed.

"Well you can call it that but in our world we call it ability... So for instance I'm a guster, able to control wind." He proudly announced.
With that he swung his free hand around creating a strong gust of wind from below them, pushing them faster.

He laughed when he noticed Ravens mouth was hanging wide open. "Will I be able to do that?" She asked. "Well I can't say you'll be a guster, there's many more abilities to catch on to."

"Is there an ability for fire?" She asked playfully thinking about how fires would always raise a bit more when she was around."ya but that's only arch angels who deal with things like fire, rocks, and lava." He said looking at the sky for a second.

A drip fell onto Ravens nose, she looked up to see gray clouds covering the blue sky. As more raindrops fell they started to burn her skin."why does the rain hurt so much?" She asked wincing as more drips fell on to her burning skin." What do you mean?" He asked confused.

" there like hot coals pressing on my skin!"she yelped feeling the burning become more painful. She heard Thaddeus talking but was too focused on making the pain go away. She started to feel her grip on his arm loosen.

Then everything went black.

"Raven!? Raven ?! Can you hear me? Nod if you can hear me!"a familiar voice said. She shook her head surprised at how much energy that took. "Ugh don't ever to that again!" A unfamiliar voice said.

Her eyes popped open to see three blurry figures standing over her. She blink away the blur finding Thaddeus and two other people.

One had gray curly hair and teal eyes like Thaddeus and the other had long wavy, dark brown hair, with the same teal eyes.

  " this is my mother Valentina." Thaddeus gestured to the women with the brown hair. " hello Raven its a pleasure to meet you... Not exactly when you were lying on a bed unconscious..." She greeted.

" And this is zeke our school Doctor." he said gesturing to the male with the gray curly hair."hello Raven it was not exciting seeing you for the first time unconscious either, but I'm glad your fine now, do you remember what happened?" He asked.

"well I remember the raindrops where like coals burning my skin then, the pain got worse and worse then everything went black." She said trying to remember every detail about what had happened.

" yes that's what Thaddeus said you were saying, to be honest I have no idea what happened and you've got some pretty nasty blisters where the rain drops hit your skin." He said looking her up and down.

"Why did that happen? I've never got that before." Raven asked. "There's only one thing that would be from but..." He trailed off, " it can't and it won't be that I'll have to look into it I'll let you know what I find out about it on Monday when you come to school." He said.
