The girls were looked over by the nurse and, thankfully, there was no damage from the teacher's squeezing and pulling. Mr. Atsume was dragged out of the water in a complete daze and fired immediately after he was looked over. Everything seemed to go back to normal before the next day, even though the memory of the tentacles still lingered in the girls' minds.
The girls walked into their first class together, smiling and trying their best to act like nothing was wrong with them and nothing happened to them yesterday. As they went to their seats, Emily waved softly to Tsukune who only slightly waved back and looked back down at something on paper. She furrowed her brows a little before slowly sitting down in the desk next to him. Ryan took her place beside Moka and glanced at her, waiting for her to look up and say good morning with a cute smile but Moka was too busy writing something. AC glanced over at Kurumu and noticed she wasn't looking at Tsukune or her or even glaring at the back of Mason's head. Mackenzie slowly looked around before looking at the door, expecting Mizore's purple eyes to be there watching but none showed. Mason sighed softly and looked out the door, almost daydreaming. She brightened up as she saw Gin outside talking to some of his friends. He glanced over at her and she smiled, waving cutely to him. He simply looked away and went back to the conversation with a big smile. Mason's smile faded and she looked away, ducking her head slightly.
Mackenzie walked down the hallway with a sigh, frowning softly as she thought about the strange emptiness she felt without Mizore's eyes constantly watching her every movement during the day. She stopped, looking ahead at Mizore who was calmly walking down the hall.
"Mizore! Wait! I need to talk to you!" She yelled and ran towards her. Mizore whipped her head around, looking at Mackenzie before bolting off. Mackenzie's eyes slightly widened but she slowly frowned and ran faster. "I don't run unless I'm in track, Mizore! I hope you know how serious I am about talking to you!!" Mizore glanced back at her before quickly turning a corner. When Mackenzie turned the same corner, Mizore was no where to be seen and Mackenzie was panting loudly as she looked around for her. "Damn it..." She breathed, leaning against the wall as she tried to regain her breath. Mizore looked down at Mackenzie from the roof and sighed softly before turning away from her.
AC started towards her little tree before stopping as she heard some giggling. She turned her head and saw Kurumu with a few boys around her and following after her.
"Kurumu?" AC called softly as she slightly stepped towards her. Kurumu only glanced at her before continuing to laugh and talk with the boys gathered around her. AC's eyes saddened a little and she looked down, going to her tree. She jumped up and sat on the branch, leaning against it and sighing softly as the wind blew through her brown hair.
Ryan walked down the hallway towards her music class, sighing softly as she frowned a little bit. She stopped as she saw Moka picking up her books. She slowly went to her and started to help. Moka smiled and looked up to see the person helping her.
"Thank y-" She started but stopped as she came face to face with Ryan. She quickly grabbed her things from Ryan's hands, just as Ryan had smiled back, and ran off.
"Hey! Wait!" Ryan called as she stood up, watching Moka as she turned a corner. Ryan sighed and frowned deeper than before with her arms crossed.
Emily hummed softly as she started getting a drink from the drink machine. She smiled and grabbed her drink before turning and bumping into someone. She looked up and saw a flustered, blushing Tsukune.
"O-oh. Tsukune. Sorry I bumped into you." She said as he looked down and nodded a little, going to the machine without a word. She tilted her head to see his face better. "Are you okay?" He clenched his fists and grabbed his drink before running off. "H-hey!" Emily stuttered as she watched him, frowning sadly. 'What was that...?' She thought before sighing.
Mason went to her locker and hummed softly as she got some books out. She gasped as her skirt was flipped up and there were chuckles. She turned and her eyes widened as she saw Gin with the boys from the other day. He smirked down at her slightly.
"Nice, sweet cheeks." He said. Mason stared up at him as her eyes turned glossy. She turned and slammed her locker closed before heading to the bathroom. She wiped her eyes as she looked in the mirror.
"Why did he do that...? Did I do something wrong when I blacked out yesterday...?" She asked. Her rosary slowly lit up with a red glow.
"You idiot. I did this for your own good so be grateful." Her voice came from the rosary but it was lower than normal. She looked down at it.
"You...you're like the inner me just like Moka has..." She whispered. "Wait...what did you do?"
"I told them to stay away from all of you. You know that you're going to have to leave soon and there won't be a thing you can do about it. You know this so I'm saving you from a heartbreak. I'm saving you all from one." She explained. "Be damn grateful." Mason clenched her fists and glared at her rosary.
"I don't care...so what if we have to leave...we have to leave places all the time but before then we make memories...and we all want to make memories with the others. And you aren't going to stop us!" She shouted and her rosary faded back to normal. She frowned and grabbed her bag before walking out to continue her day.
