chapter 3 || Advice from... A dog?

I'm sitting in fourth period when I feel something hit the back of my head.
"psst!" someone whispers-shouts. i turn around quickly and see the thing smirking at me.
"what?!" i ask. I've had enough of him today.
"ooh, feisty. i like it. so, how's it going, birthday girl?" i scoff at his inappropriate behavior.
"it's going great, baby gorilla." his face falls as I quickly turn around and continue to listen to the teacher.

— 17:45, Berry Residents —
as i pull into my driveway, i see a few streamers strung from pillar to pillar on the porch.
i slowly get out of my car and walk inside slowly. as soon as i walk in, i notice that there is jazz playing, my dad's favorite genre of music. as i make my way through the corridor and into the kitchen, i see my daddy standing at the stove, cooking something that smells absolutely amazing.
"Hello, pumpkin!" my daddy greets me once he notices my presence.
"Hey, daddy!" i quickly hug him from behind and make my way to my room to let Cherry out of her cage. as soon as i let her out, i quickly take her outside to do her business.
once she was done, I started to make my way inside and up to my room. i sat on my bed, and Cherry joined me quickly.
i then proceeded to tell her about my day. i used to have to tell the giant bear in the corner of my room my problems, but now that i have Cherry, i can have someone who will comfort me.
"And then in fourth period, he hit me in the back of the head with a paper ball. who does that?" i ranted to her. She just tilted her head as if she was trying to communicate with me.
"You're right. I should just ignore him. Thanks, Cherry." She wagged and licked my face as i giggled quietly.
after i was done with my 'girl talk' with Cherry, i started getting dressed for my birthday party.

A/N: HELLO GUYS! i have a funny story which probably actually isn't funny but it was funny to me so.
today in class, this girl was talking about football and she said, "Girl's football is called 'lingerie football.'" and my teacher just looked at her with a red face and stared her down for three straight minutes.
anyways.
hope you enjoyed! sorry this took so long!!
