chapter 4 || Fun With the Family
"one... two... three..." i count as i curl the last loose strand of hair on my head. i take the piece out of the clasp and slowly unwind it and spray it with hairspray. i look at myself in the mirror, pleased with my appearance. i was wearing a black dress that stops just above the knees and black flats.
i slowly began to make my way downstairs, Cherry following close behind me. i hear a few gasps from various family members as i place my foot on the last step, causing a slight smile to creep it's way onto my face. i love being the center of attention. well, unless I'm in trouble, but that's beside the point.
i make my way over to my grandma, who was sitting on the couch at the time. i give her a small kiss on the cheek before resting myself beside her.
"hello, sweetheart!" she beams. i hope I'm as energetic and happy as her when I'm old. that's my life goal. well, besides being famous of course. anyways, moving on.
"hey, grandma!" i say softly. i lay my head gently on her shoulder and close my eyes, taking in the smell of her.
we start to make small talk while waiting for the food to be ready, giggling every now and then at my grandmother's jokes, and soon, it's time to eat.
we all sat around the house, eating and laughing and just having a good time. these are the moments I cherish in life. the ones that i can think back to randomly while on the subway and just smile while the lady in front of me is contemplating on whether I'm sane or not.
after we're all done eating, my dad and daddy bring out the star-covered cake. everyone began gathering around me and started singing as my dad lit the candles. As soon as they were done singing, i closed my eyes tightly, made a wish, and blew the candles out.
a few hours later, everyone began to leave. I quickly gave a hug to everyone and went upstairs to change.A/N: why do you guys even read my stuff this is so bad I'm sorry 👏🏻😂💀
